This is a little off topic but have any of you printed on polycarb (lexan) on the HP Latex machines? if so how is the adhesion? Better or worse than standard solvent printers. Thanks.
10sacer,
Thanks for the info. I will keep that in mind when having test prints done. I've found a 2007 Fuji Acuity HD2504 any thoughts on that printer?
We only print on about maybe 5 different substrates and one of them would be probably 90% of the time. One question, Is it possible to UV print on anodized aluminum?
Thanks ChicagoGraphics. It looks like they have a lot of good deals. My only concern there is I have never run a diital printer before especially a large flatbed is there a large learning curve? Not getting any training with a used one would it be hard to get it up and going?
Thank you to everyone. You confirmed my thought. I'm looking for an entry level plotter with an alignment system to cut printed decals and stickers. I only need a 24" plotter. Any suggestions? Does the Graphtec CE5000-60 have an alignment system on it, if not how do you line up to contour cut...
Has anyone ever bought one of these machines. I'm guessing they are Chinese made but they are sold in the U.S.

I would like to be able to add the ability to print and contour cut (not on a Gerber)
Stumbled upon this website the other day and was wondering if anyone has verified if this is a real company or if it is one of the Chinese scams I have seen in the past.

Colorado Signs- I like the idea of CET being able to upgrade the gerber flatbeds with there gantry and heads for a reasonable price. Also my gerber rep told me that Gerber will continue to support the printers for atleast the next 5 years so if I could get a CatUV or an IonX used for a decent...
I'm looking to find out more information about Agfa printers and would like to know if there is a dealer or rep in the Chicago land area. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I'm starting to look at UV Flatbed and UV Combo Printers. Here are some of the models that interest me.
Agfa Anapurna M2 or M4
Mimaki JF1610 or 1631
Gerber CatUV
My biggest question is what should I be looking for quality wise when looking at used UV Printer.
Print Hours? Lamp Hours...
Thanks artbot. Would this be a better printer than either the gerber IonX or Mimaki JF1631. I know those are both traditional flatbed but I don't know anything about Agfa.
Thanks,
P.S.
I'm sure you are tired of answering my newbie questions but my company is looking to get into digital...
I'm also looking at a used Anapurna M2 but I can't for the life of me figure out if it is vacuum belt system i.e HP FB500 or if it is a pinch roller system. Any idea? even in all the brochures and stuff it doens't make it very clear.
Thanks,
Oh another thing to throw out there. The printer I really want is an FB500 or FB700 that's why I'm intrigued by the 9840UV so much because it has the same type feed system. I don't want something with pinch rollers. I would likea traditional flat bed or the vacuum belt system offered in those...
