This printer has been out a few years does anyone know if there will be an updated model released in the next 6 months to a year? Or maybe I am completely wrong and the life cycle on UV printers is longer than I thought.
I downloaded the HASP driver from Onyx's website. I don't think the key got damaged but I wasn't up there when they packed up the printer and brought it back to our shop. Actually they forgot to give us the dongle and they shipped it to me UPS and it came in a very well packaged box I don't...
I've tried it on an XP Machine and I get a message about the key not being compatible. I went to onyx's website and found an updated driver for Windows 7 but i'm still getting this error. See image.
So I have received the dongle and I am trying to install it but it says there is an issue with the hardware key. When I try to install Version 7 it tells me my Key is .-1074790400 and to contact my dealer. Any ideas what I should do next?
Mimaki makes a table top flat bed but it's only got a 12x16 print area. Direct color also makes a smaller printer I think it's size is 12 x 24. These are the only two table tops I know of.
Okay sounds good. I contacted the guy today and he shipped out the dongle so I should be good to go tomorrow when I get it in. I'm going to be running it on my new Samsung Series 7 Laptop. Its quad core i7 with 8 gigs of ram. Is this a powerful enough computer to run Onyx and rip files for UV...
Well we got the printer back to our shop. We moved it from Lacross wisconsin to our shop just outside of Chicago and today we got it up and running and did our first prime bar print on .020 styrene and it looked pretty good. I have attached a picture of the printer after we got it off the trailer.
DOes Onyx use a Dongle or a software key code to activate it. When we purchased the Printer it came with an unopened box for Onyx 7.0 but there was not a dongle in the package. Would it have come with their first version which was 6.5?
We just bought a used ColorSpan 72UVR and it came with onyx 6.5 and an upgrade to 7.0 that they had never used. I've never used onyx so I'm wondering which version should I use to run this printer.
Okay, Thanks I found the manual on HP's website and ordered a box of flush and a syringe for pushing the flush through the lines. Thanks for your help.
Well we are picking our printer up Friday and I have a quick question. We need to flush the lines so we can transport this printer, but we have never done this before. Does anyone have any videos or instructions on how to flush the lines on a Colorspan 72UVR?
Well we made an offer on the printer and are now waiting to hear if they are willing to sell it for what we offered. If they do we will have our first UV printer on Friday.
You could also have the encoder cable partially disconnected underneath the tool carriage. I had that on mine a couple of months ago. Its an easy fix if you have small fingers and small pliers, otherwise its going to be a B****.
I've heard a lot of people say that but also I have heard people say they are work horses. We are more looking to get one of these for reasonable price to experiment with moving our screen printing business to Digital Printing. This is why we don't want to drop 85 - 100K on a brand new UV...
