  1. How to cutting/finish fabrics

http://go-foster.com/Products/CuttersTrimmers/FabricCutting/ I wish I'd known this existed previously, but honestly, most of my cuts were at least 96" and 20-30 ft long. I used a hot knife as well, and it takes some getting used to. We sewed a silicone edge to them, but having a straight edge...
  2. looking for feed back on the HP LATEX R 1000+/2000+ FLATBED

I know of a couple of places in Atlanta that have installed them. One was a beta site for HP when they rolled it out initially. From what I've heard, they are very happy. I have also heard of the backlog of installs because of demand.
  3. Need Help Backlit SEG Silicone edge graphics printing

Dye Sub instead of UV would be my recommendation first of all. The biggest question is whether you have the capital and the available room for the entire workflow. Direct Disperse Dye Sub like a Telios machine will save you time/footprint area because the output is already heat set instead of...
  4. printing on mesh with no backing?

I worked for a company that did exactly this, with sports field/tennis court netting. The client bought container fulls of mesh from China, and brought it to us to print, and it had no backer. We were running it on a HP FB750 which had a conveyor belt. We ran some test prints that they were...

  11. Milk Truck Lettering

Former Dairy Farmer here... Those trucks are not just washed with industrial soaps... They get washed with very high temperature/ high pressure water, detergents and sanitizers. Its not unusual for the chemicals used to wash the inside of the tanks to be splashed or sprayed onto the outside...
  12. Need Help Deciding what printer new printer to get

HP Latex on TVF fabrics have come a long way in the past few years. The durabilty and rub off is about 85%-90% of what Dye Sub is in my opinion and would be fine for many fabric applications in a sign shop. I'd still be cautious on the large prints that we do like 8'x20+' for tradeshow...
  13. Question IntePro Coroplast

We get it from Athens Paper, but they don't cover your area of the country. You could call Matraplast directly and see who supplies it for your area... Chris Lariviere or Buck Cameron at 214-707-4847. Good Luck
  14. Question IntePro Coroplast

I've switched over to Matraplast as well from Athens Paper and its been awesome. Better price and great quality.
  15. National account for Goodwill, any ideas?

Not sure, but up until about a year ago, they had a large in-house sign shop that handled in-house signage and POP stuff in Nashville. Not the channel letters and cabinet signs though.
  16. Suggestions Indoor Smooth Concrete Wrap Vinyl

Try Arlon 8200 series High Tack (Calendared) and 6700 Series (Cast). We've had good results with 6700 series where we would have used 480 C in the past but the price point was way too much. I think Athens Wide Format carries it in Florida.
