FYI - if you open the PDF in Acrobat, go to the File Menu > Properties and look under "Application", it will tell you the application that created the PDF. This is the first thing I do when I open a PDF that a client has supplied.
I've seen this sometimes with PDFs created in InDesign and sometimes Photoshop. We don't accept InDesign files (or EPS and PDFs created in InDesign)anymore because of the time it takes to make them print ready for large format printing specifically when there are many design elements and many...
I have samples I'm going to try out. They have the profile settings for JV33's they can send you for best results. I'll keep you posted when I print on my JV33's.
I have a bunch I could send you via Hightail. I'll put together a contact sheet with the images so you can let me know what you want. They are huge and look really good. I've pulled them into photoshop to change the color if it doesn't match what I need.
Banding was an issue at a previous company that I worked for that had the FB700. Not on all substrates, but some more than others. One thing to consider on the belt system is whether you'll be doing CNC graphic finishing. My impression has been that a true flat bed is more accurate especially...
If you get a make and model of a printer that these can be printed on, you may be able to contact a dealer and see if they have placed any of that machine in your area. I've done that before and it worked out well. Good Luck!
Its not in Canada, but I have a guy here in Atlanta that does these with the UV machine called Awards Atlanta. 404-634-5009. Ask for Scott Marney. scott@awardsatlanta.com

I'm getting ready to print 40+ 4x8 sheets with pretty heavy ink coverage and I have 5 cartridges with 2% ink left in them. Typically, I'll pull those and set them aside to use when I have a smaller job to run, but it made...
After doing a little research on S101, I see that "generally" a Mimaki tech has to upgrade the firmware, and there are some circumstances where it cannot be rolled back depending on how old the printer is. I also see that there is a firmware update tool available. Has anyone here performed...
I would recommend Sensient which we use, but they are some of the most expensive. You may want to give Gans Ink a call and see what they would recommend. They carry several lines.
I have no affiliation with this company but we have reviewed CoreBridge software and I've been impressed with what I've seen. Cloud Based and appears to be very capable. Good Luck.
I'm not sure if it exist, but maybe use an exterior grade cabinet laminate that has the woodgrain. Wilsonart, Formica, etc.
Edit- Just found this... http://www.izoneimaging.com/products/chpl-sheets-and-panels/
+1 - Had the same thing happen to me. Didn't realize I'd had a head strike and sure enough the face plate was dislodged. Before you order a new head though, check to see if you have any lint that may be hanging on the head that may be causing static to pull ink from the head. I struggled one...
