Mimaki ink cartridges have a chip in each one that is coded with a date, time and a volume, It looks like the ones that you purchased do not have a chip in them at all judging from the product pics on their site. I also didn't see anything on the STS site addressing the chip issue either. So...
Time to buy new ink. Keep an eye on the expiration dates of the ink you are buying from your vendor. If you are not getting ink that is at least 6 months out I wouldn't purchase it from them.
Need to align you capping position in the service menu. This happens all the time when the cap and or heads are replaced. They are never going to be in the exact position from when they first installed.
Are you using FineCut? When it comes to cutting on Mimaki, everything can be controlled. Does it do the kiss cuts, the perf cuts or the trough cuts first? I what order? The way you build your cutfile layout has everything to do with the order in which thing cut. It can all be controlled and...
Down right and up. Push down firmly on the cap, slide it to the right (it's only going to move a little) and lift straight up. It's going to feel a little snug but it will pop right out. Not gonna lie they can break easily so be careful. Also perform a cap alignment after each replacement or...
That's why Mimaki includes those little black handled dense foam tipped swabs with the angled tip. It's to get into those tight little nooks and crannies around the print heads, Solventinkjet is correct, I'll even take it a step further by saying a lot of folks don't clean out those crevices...
The 2way 2+3way air solenoid valve are all either defective or they can't maintain the pressures once dialed in. I would always teach the operators how to monitor the values on their printers after a new install.
What are the positive and negative air pressures right now? Secondly perform and air purge on every channel of H2 until you are sure ink is purging without any bubbles coming out with the ink. Then check your head voltages. Finally check your gap.
