I would, with the keypad, slowly move the carriage over the spot where that keeps happening and look very closely. Move it around a bit you should easily be able to see what is going on. Like Modern Ink said I'll bet one of your crash guards is out of alignment. They both need to be exactly 1mm...
On a UCJV you either have dual cmykcmyk, cmyklmlcww or cmykclclww. What exactly is the color setup on the model you are getting? I've done a conversion of a cmyklmlcww to a cmykclclww and all you need is 4 bottles of flush to flush head 2. If you haven't done it before I would recommend you let...
Let's look at a couple of things. Do your files have any special characters in the name, like dashes, commas or question marks? (One old rule of thumb I used to use was underscores only). Second I would save/print your print file as a .ps (postscript)
Then run that file through Acrobat...
"I'd like to save some money by using a used printhead."
This is just a bad idea all the way around.
I'm pretty sure the DX5 won't work either, Mimaki likes to lock their machines down pretty tight. I could be wrong though, if you are feeling adventurous I say go for it and let us know how it...
The GHS was developed by the United Nations, as a way to bring into agreement the chemical regulations and standards of different countries. In short, it is an international attempt to get everyone on the same page. ... The GHS is not a global law or regulation– a common misconception – it is a...
I believe it may be an issue with your network. How are you sending data to the printer, USB or Ethernet? If its Ethernet, and if you can, try using a USB instead to see if your problem persists.
I am very curious, where was the rotation for each panel specifically done? Was it in the native design application, in acrobat, at the rip or at the machine?
Oh yeah, I understand that, but the issue I had was the way both the customer and I were building our cut lines/layouts. The software takes into account the order in which you build cut files, the layers and even the way you create your registration marks. If you have a layout with a kiss cut...
I'm curious why you would trust a Chinese MSDS sheet? Does China even have an equivalent to OSHA? I imagine that even if they did have an MSDS it would just be rip off from another legit ink manufacturer. Why put the actual work in if you could just steal it, just like the tech, the design, etc...
Lately the more I use Mimaki's FineCut the more I like it. When I finally figured how the way you create your cut files directly correlates with how the software sorts the cut files it made much more sense. By no means is it perfect but in my opinion it optimizes the way you can create, control...
If you are using Rasterlink do a print origin adjust first, then do it again but this time with marks. This will dial in your plotters cut alignment. I always recommend people use registration marks when plotting because the machine will read them and compensate for any anomalies resulting from...
Has the machine been serviced recently? Was the platen taken off? Mimaki's have a level test where you can remove the blade, replace the blade holder, and it will travel across the length of the plotter and display the distance from the platen to the blade. I'm not sure if the Roland has that...
