Heres an added question: Would you recommend laminating the printed magnets if for outdoor usage? Just wondering.
If you are printing on the L25500 you will want to laminate them even if its for indoor use. The Latex ink will give you a matte finish so to make it shiny, lam it.

Well, we do them in vertical panels with a 1/2 - 1" overlap. Designing at 600 dpi scaled down is no different than working at 100% @ 72 dpi. The file size should be identical so what's the point. As far the artwork being 1.5 gig yes that is normal for raster images. Can you design it in Illy or...
We usually print 2 ink layers in Onyx on perf to compensate for 35-50% vinyl loss when the backing is removed. We can't do this in Caldera. Guess i should have asked what rip you were using.
Looked for a thread that addresses this but no luck. Trying to find an interior window perf that will work with our latex printer. Any suggestions on who might have this product?

Design some 1 color logos or decals (in different sizes) and run them beside whatever you have going. That will get rid of some of the waste and place them on the backs of any signage you do. Hell, stick them everywhere!
