Oracal has numerous vinyls that you can order in a clear. The highest one i'm sure of is 3651C, which is calendared, but they may have a 3751C or 3951C. You can check.

the sensor probably doesn't see the encoder strip. something isn't aligned, or the sensor is now more dirty than when you cleaned it. if the machine can't see the encoder, the y motor doesn't know where to go, so it produces an error.
