A member PM me that the printer ribbon cable is probably dirty and sticky and rough, as soon as the printer quits printing we are going to clean that area. He also advised us to take care not to touch or get dirt / containments on the encoder strip - which we will watch out for now that we...
I think it is related to the printhead ribbon.
There are no marks and the prints still look great, just a new noise that we are not use to.
I will also call our dealer Monday when he is open, can not hurt.
Any other comments/suggests would be helpful. Thanks!
We are getting a funny noise from our Roland SP 300. Sounds like the printhead hitting the clamps but when I removed then and ran it across there is still makes noise. Does not do this if we are just cutting. Sounds like it is coming from the data cable on the left hand side, kind of a clacking...
There is a trick to cut the contour of the imported image in Flexi from Corel but it is not difficult and you may already use it on other printed images imported in to Flexi. If not just magic wand the imported image. Hit Shift control I and then go to the bitmap menu and select convert shape...
Get a big squeegee and use that to apply it dry. Practice on a waste piece first but after you get use to it, it will save you a lot of time and frustration. Really a 2' by 8' piece is not very big, we do this all the time so for us this job would take longer to setup, print and laminate than...
Thanks to everyone that helped us resolve the problem with the SP 300.
It was the capping stations, replacing them we have been able to open up all the nozzles and we are printing away as good as ever.
Thank you, thank you, Thank You!!!
We do what Bob suggests and we are going to look in to checkers advise but for us that really helps most of the time. Not as good as color profiling equipment and every thing it takes to manage color professionally but we are small and serve mainly small businesses so for us it makes good...
yeah I am really regretting shutting the machine down while we were gone.
I wonder if a head wash would also help using the four cleaning cartridges (in addition to the new capping stations)?
Worried about replacing dampers, a lot of guys say it caused more problems like ink spilling on...
At this point we think it is the capping stations, especially the one on the yellow-magenta print head. We can not get that one fully opened back up but think we may be able too once new capping stations are installed. Probably will replace the dampers later or if this does not correct the...
