The base of our are just heavy cores the banner comes on. We have a ton of these lying round. Just slide the big roll of backing off the laminator core and all and drop a new one in. Our local recycling has deemed the backing paper is garbage so once every few months we take a huge trailer load...

It can be down to the vinyl you are cutting. I have cut an 18ft decal with maybe a sixteenth out at the end (within tolerances), I found it was down to running it very slow on the cut. I also found that some backing papers are too slick for a decent grip by the pinch rollers.

In celebration of the end of the week and the opportunity to catch up over the weekend, I printed half a roll of mesh banner. This morning I cut it down to send for hemming. Everything okay until I begin to strip off the backing film... Yup I printed 200 sq feet on the back of the roll. :doh:
