Hi all, Got no output on my JV22 (same as JV3*SP and JV3) Nailed it down to lack of 42 volts to drive the piezo crystals. Wondering if anyone has any other docs besides the maintenance manual and mehcanical diagrams. peace out
  2. DX5 head source fo JV33 etc

Good technique, very clever ...and I bet you can mix up a mean Martini with a bit of a kick ;)
  3. DX5 head source fo JV33 etc

were you unhappy with the manifold in some way?
  4. DX5 head source fo JV33 etc

You can use Xylene and soak the heads to loosen the goop - I've done it with car ignition parts that I'd replaced just to verify my diagnosis Note it's a slow process, Xylene is fairly nasty and fumes and skin contact should be avoided. Also it will attack any remaining plastic parts attached...
  5. jv33 bible.

Does anyone have the equivalent of this for the JV3/JV4/JV22 series I'd love to have a copy I already have the maintenance manual, but it doesn't have near enough detail to adequately troubleshoot the electronics peace out
  6. JV3 160sp display screen help

power off and unplugged, remove the RHS cover and unplug the screen/keypad and replug it. While you have the RHS cover off, do the same at the other end of that cable at the control board round the back, located above the ink cartridges. Can't say that will work, but it'd be the first step(s)...

  8. mutoh print head falcon series not working

If you do use a syringe directly on the manifold nipple, draw rather than push cleaning fluid as you can delaminate the head internally. To do this properly, they really need to be removed and placed in a small saucer of cleaning fluid a millimetre or so deep. In actual use the nozzle plate...
  9. Ya just have to wonder...................

I once managed to get some guy in Nigeria, or thereabouts, to give me a phone call at my work number, which I was only at one day a week, on a day I wasn't there...he even left an indecipherable message... If he thought I was gullible, he should have tried looking in the mirror
  10. need help with jv3 160sp

Guys consider this, the main function of capacitors is to remove voltage fluctuations and electrical signal noise. The main electricity is AC at 50-60Hz, but all of the electronics and motors in the printers is DC. Capacitors play an intergal role in rectifying AC to DC. However, data signals...
  11. Question for the Computer Guru's?

Windows 7 Business can address 192GB, if your hardware supports that much memory. Consider that memory modules go up in size by doubles...so a motherboard that has a max capacity of 192GB may support 8GB per slot and woould have 24 slots, that's a big board and needs a big box. Also the...
  12. usb printer cable

you can get ethernet to USB print servers, so that is also an option I find ethernet easier to troubleshoot if there are any issues; You can check packet data sent & received easily, as well as ping addresses, telnet to devices as well as login using web browsers for print servers with a web...

  15. Sealing vinyl under epoxy?

Forgot to mention if there is any MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) in your ink make sure it's dried completely before applying the resin as MEK attack epoxy. One last consideration, the vinyl may reject the epoxy and it will pool like water on a waxed surface
  16. Sealing vinyl under epoxy?

It will likely delaminate if it takes any impacts If you check a sample of the coating on some vinyl, once it cures it will likely peel straight off BTW I don't know any of this for certain, but from using epoxy resin for surfboards, I know that it will peel cleanly from almost any plastic...
  17. Epson SP 10000

This may sound ironic, but Gutenprint has sensational dither patterns, I had four black - diluted dye running in a 3000 and the output was brilliant for a, at the time decade old printer. Smaller droplet sizes of later printers have improved things in light tones with smaller droplet sizes with...
  18. Epson SP 10000

Don't give up on the 10000, on one of the dedicated Epson lists, the 7000, 9000, 10000 -> 7600, 9600 & 10600 have a great reputation for reliability and dependability. So much so most subscribers with experience of all of the generations loathe the later ones and highly recommend the above...
  19. Epson SP 10000

I've never owned and printed with a 10000, I found the damper setup interesting when I disassembled the entire head assembly recently, as much because when I depressed the black lever that operated the plungers on the dampers ink dripped out...I had already removed the heads when this happened...
