  1. Epson SP 10000

Artbot the 10000 damper and manifold system is different to the mimaki damper/manifold system, in fact it's more like the remote dmaper system you have setup. I recently disassembled a 10000 head unit, and one thing I noticed is that the dampers actually have a tap on them, you may have to...
  2. SP300v Cyan messed up (PICTURES)

You looked to be close to a good nozzle check, then it went down hill, been there done that. It seems that the ink that's in there is casuing you problems, though you may have other contributing factors also It may be worth reverse flushing the lines, including the dampers, with cleaning fluid.
  3. DX2 printhead

If the head rank numbers are the same format as Epson, the Stylus color 3000, 7000 and 9000 heads are the same. I can't vouch for whether or not there are solvent resistant manifolds You may need to provide serial numbers of the Epson printers to purchase them from parts suppliers. I enquired...
  4. JV22 Main -> Slider board FFC cables - suspect

OK let me rephrase the question, has anyone on here found that replacing the long FFC cables fixed their printer. Just trying to gauge the likelihood that these are the problem as opposed to the main or slider boards peace out
  5. JV22 Main -> Slider board FFC cables - suspect

HI All, Having sudden issues with my JV22, replaced dampers and rebuilt the pumps. Now I've been through some issues, initially lost magenta, but switching the FPC cables at the slider board with yellow showed data is going to the head. Most head cables looked worn enough at the contacts to...
  6. JV22 head fuse locations - main board

Thanks for that info - much appreciated. I didn't end up needing it as the last task on my list was to re-do the maintenance pumps, when I pulled them out to check, 6 of the 8 rubber fingers that operate the mechanism(s) inside the pumps were broken. Amazing that 0.01 cents worth of rubber can...
  7. JV22 head fuse locations - main board

Hi There, Does anyone know the location of the head fuses on the JV22 (same as JV3..SP) on the main board? I'd just like to make sure it's below the firewire board before I go removing yet another component peace out Glenn
  8. HELP!! Red is printing Orange!!!

Sounds like you've checked all of the software settings... I'm assuming your ink order is KC - first head, MY - second head, LcLm - third head. Try printing a solid block of just magenta to see if it changes colour I've got an Epson 7000 here which always prints orange on the yellow output...
  9. Corvette done this week

That is simply stunning - accentuates the lines and shapes of the body beautifully
  10. jv3 adding steps to the left? sensor?

I'm surprised you haven't been into re-capping electronics, you've been into hacking and modding everything else and replacing bad caps with a soldeing iron is eezy-peezy
  11. jv3 adding steps to the left? sensor?

I think Kent is on the right track with his advice. On the subject of suspect capacitors, don't wait until you see bulging tops, check the plastic used to encapsulate the cannister, if it's shrinking on the top - you can usually see marks where it used to be when new, they will need replacing...
  12. Epson 9700

magenta has the haeviest load of either pigment or colourant/dye of any inks - the dampers may be clogged
  13. Is posterprint, is posteprint is posterprint...

Anyone have a copy of Posterprint Version 11 for sale? OK did my research... Anyone have a copy of Posterprint Version 11 for sale?
  14. GS6000 for auction Aus QLD

Just spotted this, way too much machine for me and too far away unfortunately Might be of interest to someone here, not my machine or auction so caveat emptor http://www.graysonline.com/lot/0002-7001722/printing-and-packaging/2008-epson-gs6000-stylus-pro-64-wide-format-printer peace out Glenn
  15. Is posterprint, is posteprint is posterprint...

Just wondering if there's OEM specific versions of posterprint as there are with some other rips which have Mutoh, Mimaki and Roland etc specific editions? Any other limitations? It's for a JV22-160, and it's a shrink wrapped copy. What's the going price? peace out Glenn
  16. Does size really matter....??

BTW I should mention that there is a phenomenon called infant mortality with new hard drives. So never just assume that your new drive is safe. Warranty will cover replacement of the drive, say bye bye data or bye bye $$ to get it back if the drive failure is serious.
  17. Does size really matter....??

Don't want to come off to harsh - but if that information is important enough for you to keep, then it's imperative that you get it onto something that isn't a hard drive! It can be a single CD/DVD/Blu Ray disc depending on the file sizes, or a tape drive. For memory thunderbird stores data in...
  18. Separate Mimaki 250sp from the stand

I've got a JV22 160 - the aqueous based little brother of your machine, it's got around 4 bolts that hold the printer to the stand IIRC. That said you'll have one heavy piece of machinery to handle through your window, hope you've got some beefy friends to handle it peace out
  19. Capabilities of Word

Capabilities of word - 1. annoying me enormously But seriously a screen capture will tell you at a glance if it's close to being the same on both machines, other than that a PDF is better, but can cause issues if they have used screen fonts. Microsoft as part of their marketing seems to...
  20. data recovery service??

Here's a good reason to be nice to Linux Gurus, there's a program that can recover data from damaged drives - dd_rescue It can take several days to recover all recoverable data, but it'll get it if possible Next stage is the hardware level recovery which can get expensive as you've discovered...
