I sometimes do work for people, and most of the time give them full ownership, but I still own several logos for companies here locally that never paid me for the original logo. Bruce, the guy I worked with was Rich Llitzenberger. He's the assistant manager of graphic service at Dorney Park. Im pretty sure he found me through signs101, so he may be a member.

I did an illustration for the Dorney Park graphics division of a kid on an innertube. They took that illustration and made this very cool sign for one of their water rides. They sure did a great job. Looks just like the art too!

Unless you use 080 aluminum, its going to get dented all to heck. IT will have to be thick. I would use 080, letter with vinyl and let it go. If the letters do get damaged, its easy enough to fix. But truly, this guy is asking for the moon. Nothing will last a really long time on those trucks...
