I print on wood everyday - all day - UV works perfectly ( have printed on HP, Gerber and Flora), I print on wood veneer on my Epson w waterbased inks, then mount on plywood. Your best bet would have been trying it. some things you don't need to ask...

another option is have the pieces cut before printing on a waterjet - the edges will be as smooth as butter - never tried to cut printed piece but it's worth trying.

You don't need anybody doing it for you. Leave the printer and a comp on, schedule a daily print session - a smallish image, just to keep the flow - there was a little utility made just for that - can't remember the name, but in windows you can schedule a task etc...

you're overthinking it - get a sheet of aluminum from Industrial Metal Supply - 24x48 is about $12 or so...they have an outfit in SD, wipe it w alcohol, print on it, put Clearshield on it and you're golden. I do that all day everyday. Don't know about CET, I have my prints done on HP, Gerber...

anything can be scratched - I mean, anything. Reverse print on clear using the printers you already have, mount the prints on whatever you need and you're done.

here is my sandwich - PTG reverse print / mounting film / sintra. guess what - if you spray/brush the print with "metallic" paint (you'll have to have white on your image where you want metallic effect - no need to create spot channels etc...) - you'll have the best metallic effect possible...

I actually made a full circle garage--->shop--->garage. There is another shop in the future - but there are contingencies...For now it's good not to have an overhead - considering about 80% of my business comes from online. For the rest of them I have an office @ Starbux :smile:. Anybody else?
