  1. Why i watch craig ferguson!!!!!!

Joe I gotta hand it to ya-- picking the sign industry as your choice of career is really admirable given your spelling skills. Oh and thank you, for helping to give me material to MAKE my posts so much fun!! I couldn't do it w/out you OPIE!! :U Rock::U Rock:
  2. So Windows 7....anyone???

In my case, I did upgrade....and wasn't really afraid to since my system is only like 6 weeks old and I hadn't added THAT much crap to it yet...I figured that if it ate my stuff it wouldn't be that big of a loss, but it didn't! It was flawless!
  3. Website help (with batch converting images)

Joe, if ya still need help with that, let me know, I'd be glad to do 'em for you in pshop.
  4. So Windows 7....anyone???

I installed this as an upgrade on the home system. I am somewhat shocked, and pleased to report that it installed without a hitch, is surprisingly fast, fun and intuitive, not to mention GORGEOUS. Believe the hype; SEVEN is what Vista should have been. :peace!:
  5. Tablet PC for Illustrating?

GK that is good news....I have a cintiq 12wx, and I really like it....I just wish it was bigger...so I am eyeing that 21, which is weird, because when I had the 12x12 intuos 2 I felt like that was too big. Using it is definitely intuitive, and the learning curve is much less than the plain...
  6. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

I'll say this: I have been in business since 94, and work less than I ever have. I have a 9-5, 4 day week, and I usually come in late at that. My average sale is up better than 300% over where it was 3 years ago, and in that regard I am pretty happy. I can't sell signs I'd consider "ART"...
  7. Honest opinion on Big Squeegee

I added a piece of PVC to the front of the holder to keep the roll in place since I only have two hands and not the requisite 3-4. With this addition, it is a good, if occasionally tricky tool.
  8. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

Seriously....if folks are satisfied with those wages why not save the headache and go flip some burgers??@!?
  9. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

the thing is there is no "Over there" in my town. The closest is 10 miles away and charges almost as much as I do. What motivation does the guy have to waste his time and mine with that charade? The ironic thing was that I was cutting him a break since it would be quick cash here at the end...
  10. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

That's what the fella just said to me ten minutes ago. He walked in with his cloud of cheap tobacco smoke and asks for me to drop everything and letter his dumptruck. (We usually do drop everything, but then they are usually grateful for it.) He just wanted something quick and simple....one...
  11. biz cards

I'm with Antonelli. I get 250 for a thousand, 400 for 5000. Reprints are 175.00 Or we use them as incentives to get the "Next size up" on big package jobs. Cheap leverage!!
  12. Windows Vista

John, I have Vista on my home design comp. It hates signlab, I can tell you that much. I would also be afraid of trying to connect it to older cutters/plotters or printers....
  13. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Brian, I stand by what I've had to say. I have nothing more to add.
  14. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Brian, what's the point? I don't know why the postmark is the 28th instead of the 27th. But look at the timeline, even with my "egregious" delays you received the DVD within 8 business days. I do not think that time frame is unreasonable at all. It's not good, and it's not what we strive for...
  15. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Doug, that's a fine idea..I have no issue at all with that. I'd be more than happy to refund him the DVD price less the cost of the downloads.
  16. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Regardless of what the post office says, it was given to them on the 27th. Now, our post office is a rural one, and it is entirely possible it did not enter their system until today. But even COUNTING today...you are talking about seven business days. Granted, it is not a good time frame--I...
  17. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Brian, if it says it went out today...all I can say is that's the USPS for you... Anime...if we did enough volume I would definitely consider it. But heck we're just a mom and pop sign shop! This stuff is just a sideline!
  18. Where is Digital Flames' Barry ?

Brian knows that I did my best to provide him with images on the day he ordered the collection. As for me shipping it after he requested a refund, that is just untrue. He wanted it sent next day, (which in hindsight I should've have taken the initiative to do that myself) but I had already...
  19. Real fire CD?

and Aurora has the market cornered on what you're doing....maybe you could extract a few flames over and over, layering one type of fire on top of another and call it good and sell it and people would believe and buy!!! Nah, that'd never work.... ;) (No offense taken flamey....) :)
  20. Real fire CD?

Am I discrediting myself? Not at all. My stuff is all one hundred percent done by hand in photoshop.
