Yeah...let me look at my portfolio....do you have an email address where I can send you some pics? Price wise I don't see why we couldn't make you completely happy in that range.

  3. Less is more wrap

This is one of those times like when you have put the absolute PERFECT coat of paint on a panel---and a bug comes, lands in the middle of it and wallows around for 15 minutes before you come back and dig it out. This is a beautiful job, but ya stuck a big ol BUG in the middle of it, TWICE no...
  4. Cheap decals

@ 250 units with a yield of 2.5 per sq foot....yeah there is no way I'd even WEED cut lettering (especially brush script) for 1.25 per lineal foot. Yeesh. You were right to shed them, and your previous owner did the industry a disservice selling them so cheaply in the first place.
  5. Past week installs...

AWESOME stuff. You are the man.
  6. SP-300 not printing yellow only

Have you massaged the drain lines that go to the capping station? On the M/Y side of the sponge, drip cleaning fluid till it brims. Then use your finger and thumb to manually massage the black drain lines under the capping station until you see bubbles on the M/Y side and the fuid soaks/drains...
  7. SO, I've been painting on the cintiq....

First time actually taking a portrait "all the way" in Photoshop. Smells much nicer than paint. lol. This is for an existing customer on a drawing I did a couple years back on paper. This "Portrait" was originally drawn the size of my thumb, as you can see. If he will pony up the cash, I am...

  10. Our latest Project 4 years in the making...our Brynna Renae!

I posted this in the "other" forum too, but I wanted to share it here also...My wife, Melissa and I have been on a journey over the last four years to add a baby girl to our family. After months and years of wasted time with DCHS, private attorneys, scams, adoption facilitators and agencies...
  11. 19th century Springfield Wagon Co. logo

Thanks for the advice and comments...especially Jill's :) I wish I had posted the original letterhead that I was somewhat bound to. The layout is strung out and disconnected there, and I was sorta forced to follow that. That all said, I agree with most points. I just had a hoot playing with...
  12. 19th century Springfield Wagon Co. logo

A friend of mine owns the rights to the original Springfield Wagon Company, and he wanted a letterhead design that was reflective of the company's heritage. This is the one color version I came up with for letterhead and trailer lettering... Edit: I know I posted it wrong...HELP...

  14. Color issue going from RGB to CMYK.

You are just going to have to take it on the chin on this and realize you may not get that level of vibrancy. In situations like this, I convert the image to cmyk if Ive designed in RGB and just let it do what it will. Then I work with the color controls in photoshop to get it as close as I...
  15. Source for LED Marquee

Got a customer wanting a 2 line D/F LED programmable Outdoor display, and we don't usually do that sort of thing...anyone got a good source?? Thanks in advance for any help! Barry
  16. Couple of recent designs...

I would say its not so much all the bells and whistles.....but the crowding issue. It's really hard to appreciate all that you put into these, because they crowd the borders and each other. If I got anything out of Mike Steven's book on layout, it was understanding that the need for negative...
  17. I need some perspective, ASAP!!

well I wished they hadn't moved me because I was really looking for a reaction to the CONCEPT rather than the LAYOUT.... but oh well..... Sorry, post-police!

  19. I need some perspective, ASAP!!

Hey guys!! I'm here to ask a favor, and for those who visit the "other" forum forgive the double post.... Here goes...you know how when you are so close to a project you can no longer "see" it, and ya kinda lose perspective? Well I am definitely there with this one. The Ad below is for a a...
  20. Should you fire this employee?

I think it's kinda a non-issue....cause this fella ain't comin' back to work. He's busted, and while you are stewing over what to do, he is sitting at home remembering (or fabricating) all the ways that this mess is kinda YOUR fault. He is embarrassed and his carefully crafted facade is gone...
