  1. So I Have A Great Opportunity On A Soljet Ii 540

The unit has nearly new printheads and a bulk ink system. I can get it for 2950.00 and it is a fairly local pickup. Is it a good unit? I have an older SP 300 that I have had excellent luck with, but I am less familiar with the SJ 540. Advice, and opinions appreciated.
  2. Installing Perf In Cold

Unless it's been on there a LONG time, usually Perf is easy to remove with no residue....and I have installed it plenty of times in 40-50 degree weather.
  3. Anybody have a hired sales rep?

I'm kinda looking for an idea on percentages.....and I am pretty sure you and I aren't in competition....can you elaborate a little on what you consider reasonable? 10%, 15% what?
  4. Anybody have a hired sales rep?

I guess my concern with that is twofold: ONE: where is the incentive to be driven to generate higher sales numbers? TWO: What if the guy sucks at sales? If he is a salaried employee, presumably his pay would have to be significant....and that's a lot of money to waste on a 60 day experiment....
  5. Best Drawing Tablet iPad Air vs Surface Pro vs Wacom Intuos Pro SE?

Believe it or not, I GAVE UP my CINTIQ 22" in favor of a much less expensive and portable SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE PRO 12.2. It comes with an included stylus, is pressure sensitive and using the SKETCHPAD app you can make hi res PSD, TIFF or JPG files. I LOVE IT. I can draw as naturally on this...
  6. Anybody have a hired sales rep?

If you do....what's the pay scale like? Commission only? If so, percentages? How much? Off the top? Gonna hire somebody, but I'd sure like to know if there is a standard for the industry. Thanks in advance for any help.

Got a chance to buy one of these, made in 2011. Seems to be in perfect working order. What's it worth>? Thanks!

  12. Your business card sucks!

I prefer design to be what brings the fancy. That and a little spot UV. Gotprint.com does mine.
  13. Sci Fi Logo

Joe, you are always layered and detailed, and so often you have a clever visual "hook" for your stuff. This logo is....lo-fi for you. The whole thing, including the chick lacks dynamism and seems generic. Think "Magic:the Overdone"(LOL) and do it better! If this is for a game app, it HAS to...
  14. Big job....

I am no spring chicken, but at the same time I am unaccustomed to pricing quotes as large and as complex as this one. There were actually several more elements to this, a few vehicles, a couple utility trailers, conventional signage and some other stuff, but the 26 units was 2/3 of the project...
  15. Big job....

Thanks guys, for all the serious responses. I actually don't think this will be typical 1-2 at a time deal...simply because it is a corporate rebranding....speed at getting it done was a factor. I think we'll get it and finish these as well as a few other various items as well over a 6 or 7...
  16. Big job....

doing that...but I am competing...looking for someone to give me some numbers to bounce off of.
  17. Big job....

Probably a little of both. Definitely a two person job And there will be surface prep even if they have sufficiently removed old graphics and glue (they say they'll take off old lettering)
  18. Big job....

26 trailers for gas and oil industry, to be lettered on site, some as far as 70 miles away, applied to a fairly flat but uneven surface, (think mechanical housings with some inset sections where vinyl will have to be cut and applied into the depression, vents, that sort of thing) Area to cover...
