    It actually isn't. Zoom in & out on the pdf file and you will see what appears to be thick copy at first come into focus on screen.

    +1 placing in Illy and flattening transparency with "outline fonts" checked. Another option that works extremely well is the Pitstop plugin for Acrobat professional.
