I've used both and prefer wasatch. I'd have no issues whatsoever running that job and creating all the contour cuts in illy.
Given the option I'd use colorburst over wasatch in a heartbeat. Excellent quality, superior color control and tech support who are friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the reply. I'm kind of shocked that latex ink is considered the safest. Especially considering how many times I've been asked if I have a latex allergy.
Live and learn.
Congrats on the addition. If you don't mind my asking, what were the issues your clients have with UV curable? Solvent I can understand due to the environmental issues, but isn't UV curable is supposed to be known for it's lower environmental impact?
Anybody know of a traffic signs supplier that does wholesale to the trade?
I'm also looking for barricades, looper tubes and some type C lights
Preferably in Canada, but if they can manufacture to our specs it doesn't make a difference.

I've never had a problem laminating full rolls with my GBC arctic titan. In fact it's easier to do a full roll than sheet laminating.
Like any laminator it has a learning curve. I ruined a few prints getting to grips with it but it's been smooth sailing ever since.
We had racks and racks and racks of the stuff. Comping markers too. Every color under the sun it seemed.
The oldest tool in my shop that sees continual daily usage is the little roller wheel I used to used to burnish down waxed galley type and letraset from back in the day. I'm not when my dad...
I have to agree. You tend not to complain so much about taxes when you see that get something for your money. A case like this makes me grateful for what we have here.
I grew up in the prairies and have friends who have been part of rural volunteer departments. Shoot I've even been out to a...
You know what. I just checked colorburst's website and they now support the JV33 with their pro version. They claim custom inksets for all supported printers.
I've always loved their rips. Fast like crazy and tons of control over all aspects of color. Call them, I'm positive they'd be far more...
Wasatch can do it with the JV5, but even though they told me prior to purchase that it was possible on the JV33 apparently it's not. Unless Mimaki has released new firmware. They may have done so. I've see that they have released some new inks (metallic silver and a light black HS) since I...
Look into a zund table with a conveyor feed.
Probably not as fast as doing a whole roll at once with a double sided slitter, but far more flexible. More accurate too. Media tends to wander from side to side a touch when being transferred from one roll to another.
