The vinylEFX product might work OK for straight cutting. They sell it as printable but my tests with their premium 5-7 year version of the silver foil did not pan out well at all. The inks will easily deform the material and cause it to lift within a month or so.

If it's hard drive space, clean out some of your older unused jobs from the hard drive. Since you've already increased the ram it seems like the logical next step.

Have you considered having the JV3 refurbished with new heads, pump, capping station, etc? They still seem to be a very good printer. With the lower cost of the heads on your machine it would probably be cheaper in the long run to rebuild the unit you have.
