  1. Font ID

http://www.whatfontis.com/ turned up a ton of close matches, including: Mayberry Pro Light, Antenna Extra Light, Corpid Light, P22 Underground Light, Option Sans among others.
  2. how to format list for labels

OK, I just tried it with the Auto Serialize. It works. Design one label that is 4x6, with all your text or numbers. Make sure you have your text positioned the way you want it. Go to Design Central > Paragraph > Full Justify. There will be a "Full Alignment Options" box that will open. You can...
  3. how to format list for labels

You may be able to use the Auto Serialize function to do this, too. You can create a label, with any amount of variables (text or numbers), then control them with the Arrange > Auto Serialize command. If you have a long list of names you can import them from a file, or type them in manually in...
  4. Help! File format not supported

To add to my last post, I found that many times when Flexi would crash like this it was because certain objects were grouped or combined. A lot of times if I was able to reopen the file and ungroup a bunch of objects, it would save normally and be fine.
  5. Help! File format not supported

I used to have trouble with this back with v5 or v6. Opening a new file and importing the bad file seemed to work. Sometimes I had to do this every time I wanted access to the file; every time I'd subsequently save the new file you created the problem would follow it.
  6. Is this crossing the line?

It gives you all the information of the font creator. His name, company and email address. Couldn't you shoot him an email? I'd bet you could work something out so you could use it and your conscience would be clear. Maybe paypal him $20 or something.
  7. Little Giant ladders $169.00

They are refurbs, though I'm sure they are just as good as new. What intrigues me is the $5 shipping.
  8. Panhandler or Sign Spinner

20 years ago I worked near the off ramp of a busy intersection. The same "homeless" guy was there with his sign every day. One day the drive-thru at McDonalds was backed up, so I went inside to order. I got in line behind the homeless guy. You wouldn't believe the wad of cash he pulled out to...
  9. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelpppppppppppppppp

Is Production Manager telling you to turn off crop mark detection on your plotter? That's what it told me to do on my Mimaki plotter. That resulted in the cut being off by the length of my crop marks = 10 mm = almost a half inch. I turned crop mark detection back on on the plotter and now...
  10. Logo design critique

So you can't say boob on here?
  11. Help ... can't find this one on whatthefont or whatfontis

tiki = Rain Man of fonts. I don't know how you do it.
  12. Where can I buy an alignment scope?

Radio Shack has a 60-100x illuminated microscope I bought for mine. Works great. Forgot to add it only cost ~ 12 bucks.
  13. It's cold and I am stuck...

Look under the car and see if you are leaking water/antifreeze. Did your temperature gauge give you a warning? Something similar happened to me last week (although I could still start the car). Turns out a couple of freeze plugs went bad and I lost all my coolant.
  14. Lettering Shadows

From time to time I used to consider shadowing one truck door to the left and the other to the right, so that both shadows would be facing the rear of the truck. I was always too lazy to put it into practice, though. Has anyone done that?
  15. Lettering Shadows

I originally put shadows bottom/right. For whatever reason, when my brother hand-lettered he found it easier to put shadows bottom/left, so I changed for him. Still doing them that way.
  16. Cold weather vinyl...

I did some truck doors outside when it was 25 and a pretty good wind. That was at my old shop before I had a garage. I don't know if it was too cold for the vinyl (I think they recommend it be at least 40?), but it was certainly too cold for me.
  17. System 32 Virus anyone?

I ran combofix an hour or so ago and it seems to have fixed my problems. Thanks everyone for that advice. I was feeling good until I read the last few posts of this thread a few minutes ago; now -- DAMN -- I'm worried the thing will come back. Another bandaid you can try if you are running...
  18. print looks like it is streaking or washed out

Two dampers for each color. So 8 if you are running CMYK x 2. I bought my JV3 used a few months ago and had to replace one of the heads. I also bought new dampers, a bunch of tubing and a myriad of other stuff at the time. I replaced my regular dampers with oversized dampers. They were $16 each...
  19. Couple of questions about my Mimaki JV3 160SP

    1. I am getting ready to do some remodeling at my shop and will be building a room for my printer. It will have an exhaust fan and I'll also have a dryer hose running from the machine to help get rid of fumes. Is there some sort of material like a vapor barrier I can put up in the walls to try...
