Don't know if this will work but try adding a 5 or 10 minute dry time in Versaworks and slow your printer down. You're probably still going to end up taking the same amount of time (+/-) but at least the machine is still working. Or - Shouldn't have a problem removing the middle pinch...

Try turning the Pre and Print heat down and keep the dryer cranked.

I'd go cold. Less BS to deal with and lower cost up front. Not a fan of liquid lam. Heat is good but I don't think it's really necessary.

Are you using the RIPC profiles? If so, that will lead to increased banding, especially dark colors. Use the none RIPC profiles for stuff that you don't want any banding in.
