  1. Box truck banner

there is a frame system available made from extruded aluminum. Sorry, I can't remember the name of it. But you basically print the banner to size, than heat weld a "bead" along the edges. The bead locks into the frame which is already screwed onto the truck side. The nice thing is that once...

  6. Vinyl On Bare MDO / Plywood

Is he doing the install himself? If so, make sure he knows you are not responsible for anything in any way. That means all you are doing is providing him with graphics. What he does with them is his own problem. This is most likely gonna fail even if he follows your specs (i doubt he will)...

  10. what would cause this type of banding on an sp-300v?

Is the print head continuously moving or does it pause from time to time? I get similar stuff when my printer pauses. Not sure why it pauses. Only seems to happen when I print really large files though.

  12. Your opinion on fresh auto paint

Find out what the manufacturer recommends. I work in film and I've actually put graphics on vehicles the same day they've been painted. That's the movies though. Real world stuff is a totally different ball game. Automotive paint is weird cause when it's fresh, it will feel dry to the touch...

  15. Problem with window perf

Looks like it's close enough to the edge of the print that you could just pull it back up from the corner and re-apply it. I'd use a heat gun on it too. You could also try a primer but I think that would "frost" the lam...
  16. Burn out

All inclusive vacation to Mexico. What more could you ask for. One week of doing absolutely nothing but eating, drinking, sun, beach, ocean and relaxing. Plus it's pretty affordable. I did learn however to tie up loose ends before leaving because they will haunt you. Work is the last thing...

  18. Cutting mats - To Grid or Not to Grid?

Glass table top here. Been using it for years. I find the mats can make your blade stray and give a poor cut.
  19. Heater Settings ?????????

if it's a simple cut I usually leave it on. If it's complex I usually turn it off. The heat softens the adhesive so it can make weeding a pain in the A$$. Just remember to turn it back on when yer done.
