  1. Decal setup advice needed

Because I have never used one I didn't even think of an edge. That would be perfect if you decide to buy. Fred, how abrasion resistant are the prints? Ink jet would definitely require laminate. A laminator the size required for an edge though would be super affordable. Financially it might...
  2. Decal setup advice needed

You say that you need this for your business, are you always printing the same stickers? If so jobbing it out to a flexo printer might be way, way cheaper with no learning curve to boot. You won't get a scored back like you do on other ordered stickers but when you weed away the excess...
  3. Time Machine

I see printers that are like automated car washes. You drive your car in and park it, the robotic arms that contain the print heads know the exact dimensions of the car and print the wrap directly.
  4. How do you remove the paint from the back of a mirror?

Hey Pat, what pub? I get around a bit in DK and I want to check it out if I find myself near it.
  5. How do you remove the paint from the back of a mirror?

Hey Pat, call the gilding co at the phone # on the site that ken posted. If they don't know then I don't know what to think.
  6. Eco Max and primer 94 @ 6 degrees.

My delivery came this morning and my liquid products were 6 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't know if the ink is full solvent based and ok or has any other additives that would have been harmed by sub 0 temperatures. Anybody know any more than I do? I would hate to have signs failing prematurely.
  7. Information on making awnings.

    Still looking guys. Morning bump.
  8. Banner Installation

Always a great idea Pat. Is there anything to clamp to so you could tie off, or anything to tie off to? Photos or a better description are needed. Big windows you could put good suction cups to? If there is an eve you could rubber wedge square tubing vertically. Make a free standing banner...
  9. Brushed Metal Background

don't just scale it up, res it up! Some photography books give good advice for ressing up images in PS. We have had pretty good luck with them. I have also used a nice vector drawing of brushed metal before, don't know what it would look like that large.
  10. Information on making awnings.

They sell quite a few stainless steel dry blades but not one in 10 for the rage. How did you find the saw and blade life to be on mild steel?
  11. Information on making awnings.

Ha! Thanks, no matter how many times you hear it (or say it for that matter) it always rings true. Hey, I am chucking my abrasive chop saw, you should check out the 'evolution, rage3' saw. I will definitely be getting one very soon.
  12. Roland vs. Mimaki. Help me decide.

How hard could 220 really be? I am usually surprised at how inexpensive it is to get a local guy to run it.
  13. Fellers Catalog

I want $10 on the overs! I haven't bought from them because I didn't like the gal on the phone. They have also never beat the price that I pay my other suppliers.
  14. Information on making awnings.

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good source of information on the web about making awnings. I am getting ready to make some simple ones out of aluminum structural tubing and some sunbrella that I have for fun and to learn. I have the welder, commercial sewing machine, grommet...
  15. Perforated window film choice

Big Fish (merchant member here) has some crazy inexpensive perf material. I have not used it yet but the specs sounded good (2 years if I remember correctly) he has sold it for some time to large accts with good results he said. Wish I knew more but like I said, crazy inexpensive.
  16. Problem with Cutlines CS5

Also make sure that outline stroke is 'not' selected when you flatten. Zoom in on a little section of cut line and make sure that it didn't happen.
  17. Guillotine cutter

These are used by printers for cutting large stacks of paper. They will not skew at all and are very powerful. If you are going to cut plastic or styrene make sure you get a lower end job that has a manual clamp, the hydraulic clamps on the nicer units can crush your stock, although they are...
  18. Oracal 751

Ha! It's Karma for lettering a code enforcement vehicle. Actually this has me a little concerned as we have stuck a bunch of this.
  19. Economical wrap kit for box trucks

Thanks for all of the input everyone.
  20. Economical wrap kit for box trucks

Morning bump! I am getting ready to purchase. Anyone with any other info about the auto mark? Is everyone liking this as their economical, good performing flat wrap material or is everyone just putting on the high end stuff?
