There is nothing like a referral from someone who has done business with someone else and can vouch personally for the quality and service; also, wholesale contacts are hard to find on the internet via a search engine as there are so many retail sites masquerading as wholesale to weed through.
Seriously, just kidding on my last post. I am curious if anyone knows if a letterpress would work and if you can buy the stock pre-cut...

I see banners that outlast the ink. I am replacing a billboard that has been up for almost five years but because the ink is fading, not because of the banner material.
If the metal was thin enough and a soft metal, could you die cut these on a letter press? You could but a letterpress for a few thousand dollars. The die would cost a chunk but once you had it you could make all you wanted. How thin can you buy metal and can you get it by the thousands cut to...
$45 minimum here. That job might fall into that category for us if it was on intermediate material and a re-order i.e. already set up and ready to print.
Have the supplier slit the big rolls first so at least you would have one dimension already then a dispenser roll and a guide on a long table feeding into your rotary trimmer?
In mild steel there are guys quoting 750 cuts in 14g square tubing and the like. Wow, you have had some bad luck. Figures, there is never an easy solution.
I am still seeking more info on making awnings. Any other info guys?
