  2. Splitting My Workstations....

Actually I have all the workstations set up with roaming profiles. All their program settings, favorites, desktop, etc. are all saved on the server. So no matter what computer you log onto your settings are the same. I also have all the applications install disks saved to the server so when I...
  3. Splitting My Workstations....

All you need for a server is a computer with file sharing turned on. Then just save all your files on that computer so you have one central computer to back up. I have a "true" server running Windows Server 2003 and I have it set up so all of the computers in the office save all the files and...
  4. Splitting My Workstations....

Another Chevy man, I like ya already. I think you will be happier running your rip on a separate computer. With Flexi you can run production manager on one computer and Flexi on the other all with the same key. I have all my plotters and printers on a remoter computer with the key and then I...
  5. Splitting My Workstations....

I have a new MacPro with 16 gigs of memory that I do all of my designing, email, invoicing, everything but rip on. I think it's easier to have everything in one place. Then I have a separate workstation that just rips print files all day. All of our computers are connected to a file server so...

  7. Looking for a printer/cutter

Another very pleased Roland XC-540 owner. The XC may be a little more than you need, look into the VP-540. The only other all in one printer/cutter I know of is the Summa, but it's a thermal printer.

  14. Roland Color Match System

I'm using the new XC-540. The Roland Color System is actually a part of VersaWorks 2.0 and above. So anyone with a newer Roland running VersaWorks has access to it. All you do is define a spot color in your design software then VersaWorks recognizes the color number and converts it to the...
  15. Roland Color Match System

it's great! I have a chart on my wall for each media I print on. It makes spot color matching a breeze.

  18. Please Help !!!!! I Lost A Screw!?

Looks like 11 to me, but it's been a long day and my eyes are tired.
  19. Roland XJ series

I have a new XC, the XJ is the same but doesn't have the cutter. I think it's a great machine, it's a real workhorse. Very well built and it prints beautifully. If I had to buy another printer tomorrow it would be either another Roland XC or a nice big AJ-1000.
  20. Flexi Starter

Sounds like you want to add a shadow. I don't know if Flexi Starter has that feature. It would be under the effects menu if it was available. The contour cut tool is usually used to a cut path to printed graphics.
