Honestly, I don't know what the laws are here in Canada but as far as I'm concerned I paid for it, therefore I own it - even if it's on someone else window. I'm more than happy to go take it back.
Prowraps - thanks for the compliment however I can't take full credit for the design. The...
I have to admit that in my short time as a business owner, I have not had to deals with clients that do not want to pay - until now. I had a new client referred to me back in June. She needed some window graphics designed, produced and installed for her new nail salon. I quickly got to work...
I use 24" mask all the time. I usually pull off about 1-3' and place it over the vinyl as straight as possible. (the end of the mask gets stuck to your work table and helps keep things in place. Lightly smooth out the rest until you've used up the 1-3'.) I than use an old 3" core and use that...
Nope, it's not stretching. I measured the first side and it's perfect. I'm convinced that it's the moist ink sticking the the pre-heat platten and it's causing enough drag to throw the size out.
On a positive note, my second attempt with the above mentioned fixes seems to have worked. I...
Yeah, I know it's the ink not having enough time to dry. I also though about adjust the feed calibration however that's a complete guessing game. I guess super-power-nerd could figure it out but I don't have time for that. I'm trying again with less heat, less vacuum power and we put a light...
I'm printing double sided banners using a Soljet Pro III. The material is Ultraflex ultra smooth block out. The first side prints great. The second side print nicely however, it's coming up short. On a 4'x8' it's about 1" short on the second side. I've read through some of the other posts...
Welcome.
Have you dealt with All Graphic Supplies? http://ags.allgraphicsupplies.com/
My buddy Cled and his brothers own it. They're from Trinidad and I'm pretty sure they have an office there too. I use them for a lot of supplies.
you can try to overcompensate for the stretch by mis-aligning the prints to begin with. That's pretty much a crap shoot though. I would probably install by hand. Maybe even wet...
Thanks guys. I've been on here for a few days now and I'm finding lots of helpful info. It's nice to be surrounded by people that are generally doing the same thing and doing it successfully. I've been attending the school of hard knocks for about 10 years now. It will be nice to peak over...
Cling should last quite a long time however check the manufacturers specs. I apply it wet. The moisture really helps it stick to the window. The nice thing is that if it does come off, it can easily be reinstalled. I tested a few pieces on my car for about a month. I drove thru all sort of...
Yup, that works but you might want to test it first as some clear vinyls and/or their adhesive can add a bit of a color cast. Orojet 3651 clear for example adds a yellow ting to the prints. You could also try printing on white Cling.
Hey Sardocs,
I was going to compliment you on the Firebird (I play one too) than I noticed your from Gibsons. Cool. Never been there myself but I'm planning on it one of these days. As for your business cards, I'd take orders from all the clients and place an order once a week with a supplier...
