  1. What is your favorite web browser?

You should have Signs101 as a homepage. It is one of seven tabs that is always displayed in my browser (Firefox).
  2. cutting acrylic

It's a pain and takes a while, but I have success using a scoring tool similar to this. If I have to use a jigsaw, I cut very slowly to keep the acrylic from breaking or melting back together after the cut.
  3. Font that is close?

Script = Brophy Script. I think a free version is called Brody.
  4. 50% or 1/2 off?

I prefer to use 50% off. You are in Alabama, so maybe you should go with the second one; not as much math. :Cool 2:
  5. Parts on ebay from China

Do an advanced search for posts by artbot. He buys a lot of parts from China, including heads, iirc.
  6. Color life of aluminum sheets?

I've got some red aluminum that has been on the front of my shop for 7 years and has shown no hint of fading. One side gets full morning sun, the other full afternoon sun. I figure it will last longer than any vinyl lettering would.
  7. Font ID

I want to see a font ID contest between Shovelhead and tikiboyz.
  8. Changing logo/company name - need your opinion

Jill's lettering was what I had in mind. If you wanted to you could still add a simple mirror to the right of the design, or flip-flop the ornament and put the mirror on the left. I was just trying to keep you from superimposing the lettering on top of the mirror.
  9. Changing logo/company name - need your opinion

^ Still can't read it. If you like that design, center the lines of type and put the mirror to the left.
  10. Channel Letters where to get them

You have two wonderful vendors near you, in Alabama. 1. Signbuilders in Birmingham -- http://www.signbuilders.com/ 2. S&F Custom Signs in Hartselle -- http://sandfsigns.com/ I prefer Signbuilders but you can't go wrong with either, IMO.
  11. OT: Any K-9 behavorial speclialists on here?

One of the best things about dogs is they don't dwell on past incidents or worry about the future. They live in the present. Try your best not to feel nervous or apprehensive when you reintroduce the dogs to each other. They can sense it and it could trigger another episode.
  12. OT: Any K-9 behavorial speclialists on here?

Bob, it is just as likely that the OP's dog is responsible for the attack as the new dog. And the horse analogy is way off base. Dog owners do not treat their animals the same as horse owners. As a horse owner, would you bring a horse home, put it in a stable, throw in some hay, scratch it's...
  13. OT: Any K-9 behavorial speclialists on here?

I agree 100% with Sign Boy's post. You need to work with both dogs and let them know you are the pack leader and they are the pack. Do a google search for Cesar Millan. Pick up one of his books/DVDs and watch his weekly show, The Dog Whisperer, on The National Geographic Channel. Most...
  14. Mounting calendered vinyl

    Are you using application fluid?
  15. Air Bubbles

I rarely, if ever, pre-layer two or more colors because of bubbles. One at a time = no bubbles.
  16. Pan Face Question

I've never seen a face that would only fit in a cabinet one way. You could call and ask him if the screw goes in the top or bottom (or left or right, for that matter), but it shouldn't make any difference.
  17. Printed vinyl on printed window perf problem

There are different laws in different states, Gino. In Kentucky, in general, and my town, in particular, they are more worried about whether police can see than whether the driver can see out. There very well could be laws on the books saying you can't obstruct back windows with cut vinyl, but...
  18. banner against posts

Are you able to attach to the poles using self-tapping sheet metal screws?
  19. van wrap and design questions

Import the file. Multiply by 20 to resize it to 1:1. You still better verify your measurements. Those templates are often full of mistakes.
