  1. Registration Marks

One other thought for longer prints: make sure your printer is printing the actual length you think it is. Most RIP's have a compensation factor, so you'll need to do some test prints and adjust the compensation. I know Flexi has it. Also, amke sure you have the latest firmware for your...

  3. just curious

I'm still running 7.6 on XP SP3, and no problems. I've read the improvements, but I'd rather stick to something that's been working for 3 years. I did get 8.0 upgrade freefrom SW, but never bothered to install it. It's still sitting on the shelf.
  4. oversize prints?

There is a correction factor for the length both in the printer firmware and your rip. we would need to know your printer model and rip type to help further, unless you start looking through the manuals and find it.
  5. Digital Juice Fonts Now Shipping

I got the email at 8:24 this morning and had the order placed by 8:30. I've been following these since they announced them, what about 6 months ago? I don't think they will replace all my other fonts, and they are not really fonts, per se, since you design, filter, etc, then you have to...

    In 7.6, it's tools>options>filepath
  7. Full Bleed

Full bleed requires a "spit box" along the whole width of the paper. Take a look at how an Epson 1400 does full bleed printing. You are never going to see that in a large format printer (unless someone designs it after I say this.) I don't believe the flat bed printers use full bleed...

    or merger.
  9. Edit Bitmap

Create a simple vector design, convert to bitmap, then try to edit that. doing it all in Corel may help.
  10. Edit Bitmap

Just asking, but are you sure it's a bitmap you have highlighted? See if the "Convert to Bitmap" button is an option, and try that first. Also, make sure the bitmap is not locked. Kind of obvious, but I've overlooked it once or twice.
  11. Looking for a Laptop

Dell Inspiron 1525 is a nice machine. I've purchased/configured 4 for customers in the last 2 months. They love them , and most were coming off Windows 98 to Vista. Talk about a change!

  15. welder

Flux core only does nasty welds if you don't know how to weld. If done properly, most of the slag will pop right off the weld as it cools. A small tap with a welding hammer or a wire brush and all the remaining slag should come right off One purpose of the gas or flux is to help keep the...
  16. welder

If you've never welded, you might want to look into night school classes at the local high school or vocation school. I taught welding for 8 years, and the more powerful machines definitely helped. My personal machine is a 120A Craftman from Sears, purchased in 1984. I have the bottle, but...
  17. Meaning of Eco Ultra ink manufacture code?

PS: you may want to make a quick post introducing yourself, before some folks start jumping up and down and peeing their pants.
  18. Meaning of Eco Ultra ink manufacture code?

My guess would be the 2 stand for Ultra inks, the letter stands for the month )A=Jan, B=Feb, etc) and, as you stated, the 7 (or 8) for the year.
  19. and again. the failure known as Flexi shows it's true colors

I've been using 7.6v2 for over 2 years, running on a Dell laptop, with no software problems (and most others have been user problems). SW even shipped me the 8.0 upgrade for free, but everything works to my needs, so I never got around to install it.
  20. Can't print on Avery stock

Also check the temps on your heaters. It's a long shot, but worth checking.
