There is a correction factor for the length both in the printer firmware and your rip. we would need to know your printer model and rip type to help further, unless you start looking through the manuals and find it.

Create a simple vector design, convert to bitmap, then try to edit that. doing it all in Corel may help.

Just asking, but are you sure it's a bitmap you have highlighted? See if the "Convert to Bitmap" button is an option, and try that first. Also, make sure the bitmap is not locked. Kind of obvious, but I've overlooked it once or twice.

I've been using 7.6v2 for over 2 years, running on a Dell laptop, with no software problems (and most others have been user problems). SW even shipped me the 8.0 upgrade for free, but everything works to my needs, so I never got around to install it.

Also check the temps on your heaters. It's a long shot, but worth checking.
