I hope you figure it out. I got a new 560 2 weeks ago and also got the newest Onyx 18. My rip PC was an older one with windows 7 (an old install of windows). I was getting this message but only with EPS files. We reinstalled everything multiple times. After over an hour with tech support I...
The new version of Onyx that was released last month uses the Adobe Rip engine now across all of their RIPs (previously was only in Thrive). You'll likely see better results for the sorts of issues you are having especially if you are using PDF exclusively. I'm running my 560 with it.
I don't see how you could justify any purchase based on what you are doing now. You aren't even considering service contracts over 10 years which will add up to probably as much as you paid originally. 10 years is well beyond the useful life of the machine, I'd count on 5-6 years normally.
Assuming you have a cross over you need to create your own lan. In the olden days this was something we all had to do, now we have routers and DHCP.
You'll need to assign the IP at both the printer and the computer. The IP has to be on the same subnet and range.
This video explains the...
I use a fully updated chrome / pixel 2 xl.
It still could be a hack, in WordPress I was seeing malware selectively serve ads and scripts to users that weren't admins and weren't on admin ip ranges. They were getting very clever.
Postscript based files can be opened in a text editor and viewed, what you'll likely find is the file will abruptly end which means it was in the middle of writing the file to disk when the power failed. Files are written sequentially from start to end. Unfortunately you're not going to be...
We used a seimens variable frequency drive (vfd). Our electrician explained these were more efficient than older tech converters. So you might look into that.
There is something up , I've seen it on my phone only. It is either a rogue ad or a page is hacked. These scripts display very conservative so they are hard to find to remove.
The ad shows pop up on Android and plays a message I'll screenshot it next time I get it.
I don't think it is official information but I've heard it since the show started, so take with a grain of salt. It would only be logical that the heads would remove since it is based on the latex tech. Being able to remove white print heads would be yet another selling point. It is just the...
I'm not totally buying the hype at this point. The white seems nice but history has shown us a game changing v1 tech always has teething issues. I'm thinking sort of like what Gerber did with their solara ion, new innovative ink type but it came with lots of weird issues after people started...
In my opinion it wasn't even a significant issue on the older generations. I have yet to run into something even on my older 26500 that wasn't usable. The machines can do perfectly sellable prints of anything you listed and you'll have happy customers. The newer generations are even better.
You could say I've built a few websites. When someone asks me this sort of question I refer them to Wix. You can get something that looks semi professional with little effort. Wordpress used to be my answer, but now it is a minefield of security issues and half baked plugins. You can make...
Fred, I'm not sure how familiar you are with selling on Amazon, but I've had some experience selling sign products on there. Amazon has become a haven for counterfeit goods and it is very easy for sellers such as in China to hijack your listings and sell your products illegally. You should...
Who installs one of these machines? Like 2Ct said you are normally on your own with these machines you buy direct. The quality of service and support should be a huge factor in picking any machine.
