  1. L26500 Missing Cartridges

Remove the cover over the ink cartridges. That will expose this area, it is on the back side.
  2. Summa or Graphtec

What point are you trying to make here? That is all this forum is, real world opinions. If you want hard data go compare spec sheets. Salesmen are great at spouting specs, but that doesn't translate into real world reliability. I can't speak for others but I've used a number of Graphtecs and...
  3. News HP Issued New Service Update with Flat Rate Pricing???

Oh and by the way did anyone notice that HP exposed 500 emails of their Latex owner list when they emailed this? Whoever sent the email included everyone on the CC field instead of the BCC field.
  4. News HP Issued New Service Update with Flat Rate Pricing???

On this forum is you have people that may use their machines an hour a day (or less) and people that might use the same machine 8+ hours a day. The later group you will use much more consumables and for example that SMK-3 kit is on a hard print counter to replace. So to have to do it twice in...
  5. Summa or Graphtec

Stay with the Summa, I have the same one you do and it is a great plotter. It only gets better when you move up the product line as others have said. All 3 Graphtec plotters I have used in the past for print and cut aren't even in the same league.
  6. 3m ij35c peeling off. interior latex paint. what to do?

If you want something that will "just work" then use phototex. IJ35c isn't the best choice for a wall type surface.
  7. Looking to upgrade from 25500 to 560, need advice

Just about everything from the 25500 -> 560 is a complete fix or improved over the original series. I moved from a 26500 to the 560 and most of my daily issues are addressed. The warm up time just isn't a concern anymore. There are really too many improvements to list. We had a lot of...
  8. Cut Vinyl vs. Printing

White outline isn't needed for latex. The other benefit is that we can print on air release vinyl which makes for an easier installation. We have products out there from 7+ years. Of course the quality of vinyl and laminate you use needs to match your durability requirements.
  9. Cut Vinyl vs. Printing

Doing cut vinyl and overlays is our last resort. We use a gerber edge for any multiple color specialty work even. We print everything possible. Digital printers now can do good enough quality and colors for most people so you are just wasting time and money if could have otherwise printed it.
  10. Rant HP Latex Machine Service

I hate threads like this. HP is a multi billion dollar corporation. They literally pay people to answer the phone take your issue and create a support ticket so it is recorded and tracked. A (usually) very knowledgeable tech will return your call shortly after to diagnose your issue or...
  11. Selling To California

We've been dealing with this in various ways lately. The most notable thing to know for most people here is that if you have fewer than 10 employees you are exempt. However, there are various chemicals in both corrugated plastic and adhesive backed vinyl that do fall within the law. Titanium...
  12. Avery Dennison failing over and over

I just went through this with the supercast series Ultra Metallic. I waited nearly 2 months and found a replacement brand (FDC). After several conversations with Grimco and Fellers it doesn't matter where you buy it if they need to drop ship it and Avery can't or won't fill the order in a...
  13. Hp Fb500 Color

You'll need to go to progressively higher quality (slower) print modes until you can hit the red you want. This is just a limitation of this machine.
  14. Switched to IJ35C, now having weird streaking problem

The simplest explanation is that you just have a contaminated roll. It isn't common with 3m but possible. I've used a lot of rolls of this on a 26500 and 560. I've never seen this issue.
  15. Chrome Vinyl

Not required, but helps if there are fine tips.
  16. Chrome Vinyl

What issue are you having with R-Tape? I have whole lot of this in use on boats and it is not something that we get complaints or failures hardly ever. We've been using it 4+ years now. It isn't conformable though it won't do rivets. The only other long term option I know of is Convex. It...
  17. Need an opinions on this printer

The 560/570 series has a totally different system, no spindle needed. It is as easy to load unload as any other solvent machine in my opinion, maybe easier since it is all front loaded. In the HP latex series you are getting the same basic technology and ink but as you move up in models you...

R-Tape Outdoor durable series. I've used it for years and it holds up well.
