  1. Window border LED's

I hate those so much I wouldn't even sell them. It looks so cheap and tacky. Just my opinion. From what I understand they can be any strip of leds. Most common is a 3 diode light. As for the channel they use. I've seen them installed with the plastic strips that are used for drywall corners.
  2. Switched to IJ35C, now having weird streaking problem

No. They are two different vinyls. The IJ35 is about $150 less a roll than the IJ40
  3. Switched to IJ35C, now having weird streaking problem

Are your print heads calibrated for the media? I would clean your print heads and do a color calibration. I use IJ35c all the time and it prints perfectly on my 360.

  5. In need of a 54” printer

I was considering selling my HP Latex 360 (64") printer that is only 2 years old. I just want to upgrade to the 570 with the bulk ink system. It's in great working condition and prints amazing.
  6. Suggestions for Temp / Short-Term Vinyl For HP360

Used some of the Oracal 3641 and it prints great. Nice gloss finish and the liner is really nice quality too. Much better product than the Brightline. Its also available in a 50" roll. Less waste since we mostly use this for 4x8s of coroplast.
  7. Suggestions for Temp / Short-Term Vinyl For HP360

For everyday stuff I use IJ35c-10 ($220 a roll) and love it. I use it for real estate signs and most signs that need to be outdoors for several years. On the other hand for temp signs like coroplast yard signs I started using the Briteline IM2203 ($125 a roll) and it was working okay but I've...
  8. Opinion 3D Graffiti Design

Sounds good. I currently have a couple large canvas prints hanging up here at my shop of digital graffiti to keep my creative juices flowing. They also look nice here.
  9. Opinion 3D Graffiti Design

Very nice digital art. I stem from that background too. It's good to see how our artistic backgrounds and upbringing lead us to the sign industry.
  10. 10oz banner on HP 360

    what profile are you using?
  11. 10oz banner on HP 360

With banners I always use the covers for the heating element. Without them the banners seem to stick and then bunch causing a head strike. I sometimes also put some of those clips you get from home depot at the edge of the media to hold help hold the media down until there is enough banner media...
  12. HP Latex smoking (?) need help

It is vapor. I have my printer in a 2500 sq ft shop with 20' ceilings. I never had any issues with the excessive heat because of the high ceilings. One day I was printing and I opened my overhead door came back in the shop and saw "smoke" coming out of the printer like crazy. I was very worried...
  13. 8518 Change??

No experience with the 8518 change but the rolls I have now in 85xx have paper liners which I prefer because its much easier to load. I also learned that the 8520 Matte laminate is not matte at all. It seems more like a luster. I had to order another roll of 8915 for the 3M Ultra Matte which I...

  15. New Latex Flatbed Info.

Not really a game changer for smaller shops like mine. This is way out of my price range and would of considered it a real game changer if it replaced the FB750 at the same price point. I'm sure it's an amazing machine and does some nice printing but I'm not sure about the $5,000 a month payment...
  16. New Latex Flatbed Info.

It would just fit in my shop. But it's probably won't fit in my budget. Thanks for posting Bigfish. Can you share what they are selling for?
  17. Reflective Paint or vinyl on concrete

There is a material called Alumigraphics that sticks to concrete. I would maybe try doing a blank piece of that on the wall then apply your reflective over that. I would also probably use a 3m Engineer Grade reflective. That stuff is very high tack. Then I would go around the edges of the...
  18. Need Help Need pricing on a 26ft box truck wrap????

This is inline with my pricing as well. Using 3M 180 and 3M cast lam. Just not that long on the installation though. Install for me would be about $1400 or so
