Right now you can get an Epson S40.
The printer is much better mechanically but the ink is much longer term and 3m approved.
I’ve seen customers make banners with Rolands and they fade in 6 months
If you’re printing on vinyls, your best equipment is eco solvent printers which use 3m certified inks, such as OkiData and Epson.
Uv manufacturing is trying to develop flexible inks for vinyls but it still will not laminate well because of its thickness.
It is easier to cut with a hot knife rather than sewing. I don’t sell these but here they are:

Printhead caps need to be changed first when you have this problem.
Also check the wiper alignment. I teach my customers to pop off the cover over the capping assembly by pressing the little tab that keeps the pins in the covers mounting holes.
Then when you do a printhead recovery you can see...

I’ve been selling all of these makes for 20 years.
On solvent printers I sometimes add a BBC infrared heater which fully cures the ink so customers can laminate immediately after printing.
It’s one head firing in one position. If you replaced the K-C heads then it’s an electronic problem.
It is usually the cable in the carriage track folded in one area. Need to have service replacement.

I’ve had friends buy things like this because they save 10-20 percent but in a year or 2 when they break, company and repairs are gone and then they just take up shop space while they buy equipment from the majors

It runs beautifully but yes, HP has discontinued it as a model because they constantly want you to buy their new models.
It was very funny when they came out with the 365 which is the exact same printer as the 360. The only new thing on the 365 was firmware but yet...
I have seen several of my friends remove the old vinyl quickly by using a boat shrink wrap torch to heat up large areas fast.
Then they spray down with Rapid Remover and it’s clean quick
