Until my take up reel arrives I did another print making sure there was always tension on the material. But the pink spots still appear and there is always a thin line of pink down the entire length (in this dark gray). See attachment. This may need to be started as a new thread but thought...
I suppose that could be the issue since there won't be as much gravity pulling on it once it gets to ground level. I guess I need to find a solution since I don't have a take up reel.
Well I finally got it to print without headstrikes (simply didn't roll out the excess vinyl this time) but there are still pink spots showing up randomly all over. I know sometimes printing gray/silver tones can have some pink/purple hues but not sure why these are showing up in random spots...
It's a SP-300V. The material I'm using is Orajet 3551 RA but that isn't really relevant since this will happen no matter what material I am using. The material starts getting wrinkles in it the further down the roll which is what causes the head strikes and discoloration. That print is about...
I don't print large decals that often but when I do it seems there are always problems. The material seems to get wavy the further down roll. So this cause inconsistent colors and head strikes on the material. I use media clamps and roll out excess before starting the print. Attached shows...
I suggest changing the wheels/rollers if the other options mentioned above don't do it. Was having the same issue with my trusty SP-300V. Would cut fine in tests but long (even just a few feet) would cause issues. Would even cause the scan to be off by the time it was done. We are talking...
That's how I feel. Older versions wouldn't crash for days (if ever). Then v11 would crash about every day or two but normally it wasn't enough to be too concerned (just got used to restarting the software daily). But with v12 if I am designing with it a lot it will crash 10+ times in a day...
I agree with others: support is a joke now. They may tell you how to "fix" it but if that doesn't work they stop responding. I was told v11 wasn't compatible with Windows 10 but it has been working fine since I upgraded to it last year. But due to a computer crashing I was switching around...
The machine is non-metallic. Just a simple CMYK SP-300V. So the silver is simulated using inks. Replaced cap tops, wipers. One head was replaced a few months ago. Alignment was done. But is still seems to be happening. Below is a zoomed in picture of the issue. It's almost like some...
So I know about profiles causing colors shades to be off but what would be causing on certain spots to have a magenta tint to them? Say I print a sheet full of the same decals that are silver, some in the middle and edge are more pink than others. While some look just fine. Using Flexi but...
Okay, if there is a button that senses when the cartridge is inserted that is the problem for sure. Because it happens a lot with different cartridges. Some are worse than others. But it just keeps beeping at me like the cartridge isn't installed...nothing to do with ink level. I always get...
I've had this problem for some time now which normally pulling it out and re-inserting it a few times will remedy the situation. But a few weeks ago I had to reinsert the cartridge about 25 times before it finally noticed it was in there. Replaced two in the last day and didn't have too much...
Double checked the cables and all are good there (ends look good and plugged in correctly). I should note that ALL of the cables (the 4 from the print head to the carriage board and the 3 long cables from the carriage board to the main board) are all new as of a few months ago. The carriage...
Essentially I set it up a few weeks after I got it (was too busy in September to mess with it). So since October, all that has been ran through it was essentially test prints every few weeks since as soon as I start printing, some new issue pops up. I have fixed about 25 problems over these...
They didn't seem interested in helping me out even if I paid for parts from them. They used to be my number one supplier for Roland stuff but obviously quit buying stuff from them after this ordeal.
