  1. Vectorizing an image

I will second Graphic Tracer from https://www.graphicpowers.com/ While any autotrace won't be perfect, I find that this one is my go to now. Normally just requires minimum clean up if any. If the stuff is more complex and need hand traced I use http://www.vectordoctor.com/
  2. Some colors randomly not getting ripped.

Are you the same person as Bubba YYC? That is who I was quoting and don't see any previous posts from you. The post doesn't mention missing colors but just different shades...which is something totally different than my issue.
  3. Some colors randomly not getting ripped.

This sounds more of a profiling issue than the issue I am having if all the colors are printing just in not the shade you want. I would try some different profiles to see how the colors change.
  4. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

This is one of the first things I checked since my employees and I are not used to that style of clamp but it was all good. Thanks for the tip on the cross cut blade. My isn't loose but that is good information to have.
  5. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

I think my "cutting through the paper" line is throwing people off. It would just be a small spot or two every so often where there is either a high spot on the strip, the material is thin (had it most often happen with brushed aluminum) or where I have it set to over-cut. The strip is in very...
  6. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

All good information. Thank you! But if 17-18 force is normal then I'm not too worried about it since it seems to cut fine there. Was just concerned that it was a major jump from the previous blade force and the fact it is only a few months old. I too am used to getting close to a year out...
  7. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

Yes. Even tried more and less blade exposure but still requires a lot more force than when new. Exposure doesn't seem to be making that big of a difference on force requirements.
  8. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

Yes. Had to double check that since we normally use Rolands and they don't have the bracket that clamps over. But this didn't make a difference. The has a couple of spots here and there that aren't perfect but when doing test cuts across the entire width of the machine it has the issue...
  9. MORE force needed with a brand new blade

So after a few months of use the machine quit cutting well. Been in the biz for almost 20 years so normally I add a little more force as the blade starts to dull. This got to the point where it would cut through the paper so figured lets just change the blade. Did that and now it needs more...
  10. Make transparent crashes program

Years ago this software worked great for taking a bitmap and getting rid of the background; was even fairly fast at doing so while doing a decent job. But for the last several years (probably since I moved to Cloud) it has become worthless. If I try and add an outline to make a mask or even...
  11. 10 years of Flexi... what has changed?

I hear you there. While I'm sure there are lots of new features, for the most part I just use the core stuff that has been around since I started using in 2001. Depending on what version you are used to, the newer version may crash more or less than the one currently using. I tried the online...
  12. New Digital Catalog

Looks great! There was a page of "interior fabric" where the lampshade text overlaps on my viewer. And I kinda find the Impact style font hard to read (on some pages) compared to a normal font but that's not the end of the world.
  13. Need Help Roland SP540v

You aren't in service mode if it says that. The combination has to be followed precisely or it will say that message because it knows your are trying to get into it. I know I see the message every so often when I do it wrong. Also, I think the combination of the last 3 controls (the ones you...
  14. sp540v

Probably relevant to your situation: https://signs101.com/threads/service-call-0104-any-advise-is-appreciated.123180/
  15. VG640 cutting issues

Agree with others. My SP-300V was cutting way off on even short runs; replacing rollers made it so much better. I think Roland print/cut alignment isn't great, even when new, but mine is pretty good now.
  16. SP-300V Wiper Motor Replacement/Grinding Sound

Nope...if anything it made it worse. Digi-print supplies has jacking me around for months on parts so I am still dealing with the issue. That company used to be pretty good about getting me parts but they are a major joke these days. Sent me the wrong belt, didn't send me the pulley on the...
  17. Why is Flexi adding a cut line to my bleed outline?

This is so odd because I have been doing my way for 10 years and it never added the contour cut to the bleed outline until just last week.
  18. Why is Flexi adding a cut line to my bleed outline?

So it seems Flexi just randomly starts doing things differently from time to time and I have no idea why. But right now if I add a contour cut line, then add an outline for bleed it also adds a cut line to the outline that I don't need. Never seen this before but I'm sure there is some setting...
  19. Flexi Question

I have noticed this when you do a LOT of copy and pasting without ever closing the program. It seems with each new object you copy and paste while the program is open the further off it will put the pasted version. Simply restarting the program fixes the issue. As others have said, step and...
  20. SP-300V Wiper Motor Replacement/Grinding Sound

Is there a recommended lubricant for this? I do feel the the rails could be the issue.
