  1. These people give signs a bad name

No hostility here. I do feel for all you old folks that are having such a hard time adjusting to the way the world works now though.
  2. Suggestions Vehicle Templates

There was a guy on the forums a few years ago that shared a BUNCH of templates. Not sure how accurate they were, never used them, but they're there. Anytime we've used purchased templates, they've always had to be adjusted, so we just stopped buying them.
  3. These people give signs a bad name

Johnny, you want some french fries for all that salt? You and the "old guardians" don't get to go around trashing everybody without repercussions. Even if the mods don't step in and call y'all on your BS, some of the other members will. I like that we're the "minions" but you follow Gino...
  4. Best UV Flatbed out

Just bite the bullet and get a swissQprint and a Zund.
  5. These people give signs a bad name

Brokers are a thing. Some of them make a lot of money and do really well for themselves. What does that have to do with the timeline the customer gave Texas? Just because he asked him to quote an install in March doesn't mean he didn't take the customer's deposit in February. Petty.
  6. These people give signs a bad name

Okay, Gino. Whatever you say. Sorry people are disagreeing with you, your highness, time for you to start throwing around the insults because everybody isn't kissing your feet and agreeing with you. I understand his post was difficult for you to follow. Maybe he should have included a lot more...
  7. These people give signs a bad name

What are the holes in the story? I think the problem is reading comprehension. It seems pretty straightforward. Texas called on a customer. Customer says he already has somebody working on the signs. Texas tells him that's a long time to wait, tells the guy what he would have charged and how...
  8. These people give signs a bad name

Lots of double standards on these forums. Nothing "sneaky" about taking work from another sign company that's dragging their feet. If you tell a customer you're going to install their signs and then you don't make any effort to stay in touch with your customer, and never install their signs...
  9. The perfect hem

Your other option is buying something like a Leister HEMTEK. It's always good to know how to tape a banner though.
  10. Rant When did this all come about.......?????

And White Castle. They don't call them sliders for nothing.
  11. Rant When did this all come about.......?????

That's a little inaccurate. Language is constantly changing and evolving. Old English and Middle English are illegible to the vast majority of English speakers, but here we are, dude.
  12. Rant When did this all come about.......?????

We're living in the evil timeline.
  13. How does a signmaker take a vacation?

Is this your business partner or life partner? Either way, "that is his problem, not mine" makes me laugh.
  14. The perfect hem

I've created a bunch of templates, complete with grommet marks, so that I can just drop art in and print it. Otherwise I put a light cyan stroke around the edge of the viewing area if it's a white banner, that's the fold line (otherwise the "fold line" is the art). Offset path 1" with a black...
  15. Clear Coat / Anti-Graffiti Roll on?

    Marabu MaraShield Anti-Graffiti?
  16. CNC cutter egly edges in ACP

That and the amazing blades you used once might be total crap the next time you order them.
  17. CNC cutter egly edges in ACP

The best snap blades I've ever used for an Olfa were some cheapo blades from China.
  18. What is the name of this substrate?

Maybe the gloss PVC from Harrington Plastics?
  19. Interviewing and testing

They'll probably need to be able to create custom spot colors as well for cut lines. I think JTBoh has the right idea. Ask them to recreate something simple that shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.
  20. Interviewing and testing

Kind of a vague question. What position? What are they going to be expected to do? A designer and a prepress person are going to be doing vastly different things.
