  1. Keeping mags from scratching the paint

Your roll of automag probably came with a sheet of instructions for care and handling of Mags and the surface they are applied to. The one that I get with every roll says to wax the surface of the vehicle before applying and to clean both surfaces at least once a week and everytime after it rains.

  4. Problems importing an InDesign created PDF

Which is rather ironic, considering that Adobe publishes the spec for the PDF format, yet can't (or won't) strictly adhere to it themselves...
  5. My sexiest illustration yet...

I saw that too, but I just thought it was as intentionally out-of-kilter as the sexual orientation of the subject. <edit> but, yeah... it does look better fixed.
  6. Problems importing an InDesign created PDF

Corel X3 -- not so great for importing PDFs -- X5 is, so far, much better. In the meantime, there are a number of things one can do like opening the PDF in Acrobat (Reader or Pro) and printing to a PDF (again) using a different PDF renderer like PrimoPDF, for instance -- and then try importing...
  7. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

hehe.... To my eye, that looks much better already. Do me a favour, though -- find out what kind of boat it is and I'll help you get a good-looking set and a proper sheerline as well. There are little nuances that mean nothing to a landlubber and everything to a sailor.
  8. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

Yes, you can always find a weird exception. Normally, the jib hugs the deck. They're probably running an off-sized jib built for a different boat. The only time I would ever hoist a jib that high up the forestay would be in very light air. If that foresail was built for that boat, its leading...
  9. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

The ability to draw a sailplan and the ability to recognize what's wrong with a sailplan are two entirely different things.
  10. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

The leading edge of that jib is not curved but rather hidden by the curved sailshape in that photo. If the forestay was really curved that much, that boat's rigging would be in serious trouble...
  11. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

Oh, and another thing... the foot of the main is always higher than the foot of the jib -- the opposite to what you have.
  12. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

Ummmmm, yeah. You might think its prettier and you might be happy with it. But I guarantee you every sailor worth his/her salt who sees this will ridicule the curved leading edges of the jib and main. Sailors are funny/weird about that. Fair warning.
  13. I don't know nothin about sailboats and also font help

The leading and bottom edges of the mainsail are attached to rigid members (mast and boom) and therefore should be straight. Also the leading edge of the jib is hanked (or attached otherwise) to the forestay, which is also straight and which is attached either to the bow or to a sprit...

  20. Customer quote of the day

+1 to that. Yes, I agree that Pitbulls can be somewhat different... My neighbour had a Pitbull which I would look after for him when he was away. The dog's name was Maria and she was a little treasure. She loved everyone she met and she got along great with our runt Shih Tzu. A couple...
