    Well, the entire design world, whether signage or print, is pretty much vector-based. But that's not to say that raster artwork does not play an important part. But you are going to have to learn vector generation of artwork. There is no way around it. You can start with Inkscape.

    Well, it certainly isn't the what we normally see for Serpentine (bold), but this really does look like Serpentine LT Medium that has been squished (condensed) a bit for the phone number and stretched a bit for "electric"

    You are mostly right. The correct heraldic term is "lion rampant" and is but one of several heraldic attitudes beasts may take in heraldry. Certainly, the Scots used a lion in their coat of arms, but they were neither the first nor the only ones to do so...
