  1. Looking for current best deal on 13 oz. banner material

http://www.ultraflexx.com/clearance_odd_sizes.htm That's where we buy it, they're shorter rolls than normal by a few yards, but that doesn't matter, the p.s.f. prices are about the best I've seen.
  2. Thinking about getting a new Solvent Printer

If you push any kind of volume, I cannot stress this enough: do not get an Epson.
  3. OEM? more like Bore-EM!

Wow, that's a big difference, I've never heard of that happening before. I don't think they reformulated the SS2 ink in any significant way in the last while, I'd be on the phone with your distributor to see what's up with that.
  4. Am I Crazy or is this low?

For our area, honestly sounds a little low considering that's installed, but it's pretty close. We've got shops here selling for $4-5 p.s.f. not installed (or laminated).
  5. Equipment Financing

We've always used a local company called Accord Financial, they've done about 6 or 7 leases for us and they've always been highly competitive and super fast to close. PM me if you'd want their contact info, I can't recommend them enough.
  6. Unruly Kids

  7. So.....is it 5 o'clock yet?

had one of those weeks here too, a very very good week but a hectic one. Had a few margaritas for lunch, that really hit the spot...
  8. Signs365.com?

Here's a solution. Order real estate frame clips from Grimco. We actually sell coro faces for slide-in real estate frames all the time to budget-minded realtors (hahaha). We make them aware it's not an ideal substrate and we use 3-4 of the clips around the perimeter, and they stay in quite well...
  9. Signs365.com?

+1 4x8 sheets of coroplast are rarely 4'x8' and even more rarely (as in ever) perfectly square or straight. If you're ordering a product labeled and sold as yard signs, they're cheap disposable signs to be stuck in a yard with a cheap wire stake. If the size is off 1/4" or 1/2" that's...
  10. It's here!!!!! It's here!!!!!

haha, touché my friend. I went down that road too and remember it all too well. I guess every company is allowed one slipup...
  11. It's here!!!!! It's here!!!!!

Looks like it'll run up to 1/2" thick 26lb boards, so foamcore, gator, coro, 3mm and maybe 6mm PVC should work fine through it. I'm not a big Roland fan, but I do know they don't tend to release a machine unless it's up to the task the say it's up to so this may actually be a decent little...
  12. Recieved this from a supplier

Wow, that almost makes Avery look good...
  13. Billboards

First and foremost, check with zoning to make sure you can actually install a face on that anymore. If so, go with Weasel's suggestion.
  14. Tonight's Shark Tank

Hahaha! Be careful what you say about Jan, Fred, her new vendor just may be reading this thread! Jan came to us not too long ago with her story, what aired on TV was just the tip of the iceberg, she's really had a rough few years (the show was actually taped 2 years ago) and I can't believe...
  15. New Printer

Stop listening to salespeople! Honest to god our GS6000 and our JV33 run side by side for 10 hours a day 5 days a week, the maintenance is absolutely identical, except the Epson goes through a lot more ink during cleaning cycles (a lot as in 3-4 times as much). Neither requires much effort. We...
  16. New Printer

The color gamut on the Epson is nice, and it's large. Not as hugely large as they'd make you believe, but oranges are nicer and greens are richer and all around saturation is a touch better than the 4-color JV33. But with proper profiles, the JV33 produces some excellent color, for 99.9% of work...
  17. Signvox?

FYI I learned technically Signvox is not available to the general public until the end of this month, which is why they're still very guarded about letting too much of the cat out of the bag yet...
  18. Interior sign, who made it?

I'm trying to track down a vendor/manufacturer for the sign pictured below. It's 6"x6", bottom layer is 1/8" brass, top layer is 1/16" clear plastic (for ADA/tactile graphics and braille). The plastic is attached to the brass with 4 rubber "nipples", it's just press-fit into place. The...
  19. New Printer

Mimaki JV33 again. Fast, cheap, prints great and it's rock solid reliable. We've got a GS6000 too, prints great as well but it's not a production machine and can be a bottleneck at times...
  20. Trade Show Display Unit HELP!!!!!!

That's the Orbus 3x3 Hopup. Order it direct from them.
