  1. Tips on Domed Tank Guards

One of our employees brought me a tank guard for his motorcycle. It covers the tank where your legs and stomach touch to prevent scratching from zippers etc. Upon inspection I figured out it's just a piece of black vinyl with a clear dome over the top. The company that did the doming did a...
  2. What's Your Personal Favorite Tool...?

I meant when the light isn't correct and the finger protector projects a shadow so you can't quite see the cut line and you just cut a shadow. I have a light hood that I move lower to the table so I can see clearly. I like the idea of seeing the bottom. Next time I'm gonna try to flip the...

  6. Reflective ink ?

This is why we print these types of decals. The customer usually likes the fact that the latex inks are semi-transparent which makes text that's not quite as reflective as the rest. Compliant signage though say in a HIP sheeting must use EC films or screen inks which still render the same...

They don't have reflective inks. Items like this for the most part you will need to use spot color EC vinyl film or use a screen print shop. Nippon makes screen inks that match the MUTCD Pantone colors. Screen Print them. You should be able to get your printer to match pantones to a...

Also I can't really tell if it is the image or if it is the print There is stepping which is the print but it looks like there is a slight shadow. But you might benefit from a head alignment. This might be because one of your black heads is misaligned a little bit. Especially if you cleaned...
  9. What's Your Personal Favorite Tool...?

My favorite tool would have to be the pen. It signs contracts, checks, POs, customer invoices, helps control work flow by filling out paperwork, helps remind me of things when it's something I need to remember, it doodles when I get bored and I don't need a service contract to keep it running...

. There is definetly something on the bottom of your carriage. That or the black prinhead is completyly out. When you cleaned the printheads were any of the edges of the bottom popped up. This will cause problems like this.
  11. Stupid stupid printer

There is no need to. With the 300 generations they took the bucket off the back of the machine and built a smaller version into the bottom of the maint. cartridge. The maint. cart has a life and the machine will tell you when it is up. So everytime you replace you are replacing the bucket...
  12. Darn Dumpster Divers.....

$20 is nothing in copper. If you clean it down to bare metal you could make big bucks recycling other peoples stuff. Aluminum gets thrown out of households all the time and you can get good money for clean aluminum also.
  13. HP L260 Help

Just increasing passess is not going to solve your problem. Unless your doing something like 6 pass and what you are seeing is banding and not streaking across the prints. Is it a uniform band? Or is the ink being scraped off. My first guess to the word streaking is like the first responder...

Sounds like you are trying to send in the wrong language. Either that or you are trying to send without a driver installed. Language can be changed via the plotters interface. Menu> I/F>Command> Change Language and see if this helps.

Go from both plotters to a usb hub and then to the computer. If you want multiple computers use a splitter from the hub to the different computers. Deciding which plotter from which computer will depend on what rip you are using and if it can be setup to use both plotters. In flexi you can...

  19. What do you guys think of this?

Wow. NO that is hideous. The weldwork and the powder coat job. I get better powder coats with a harbor freight sprayer and a toaster oven. Send it back.
  20. Stainless Steel

Yea you got me on this one. I tried the things I could think it would be. The vinyl doesn't sounds like an issue. I used Grimcos briteline black vinyl and did what I said and no issues. Maybe there is something missing. Or you might need a stronger alcohol instead of isopropyl.
