Faster than latex??? Isn't that cured right off the machine?
This depends on the media we're running, but on 180C or other wrap materials, we let things outgas 24 hours if we didn't print with our Digi-Dry dryer running, about 4-6 hours if it was running. If the ink coverage is light, those...
I've tried magnets like you listed, they're not usually strong enough. Go to home depot, they sell little magnets that are about 1"x2"x.5". I want to say they're about a buck a piece. Wrap them in duct tape and you're good to go.
You can also go find a car stereo store and ask if you can buy...
+1, have it buffed by a pro, or tell your client to have it buffed. You can clean it really really well with cleaners (Bon-Ami, Prep-Sol, Rapid Prep, etc.), and get the wrap to adhere fairly well but I would not guarantee any long-term durability.
I don't know the exact procedure on a Roland but remove the plastic cover on the print head, you'll find them under there, they're clear "D" shaped plastic reservoirs attached to the topside of the print heads. They should be about 1/3 - 1/2 full of ink.
$55-65k, 6 person shop (3 billable hours producers, 2 office/support and 1 salesperson).
It's hard to define "typical" though, you'll probably get a pretty big variety of answers.
Thankfully, we're stupid busy over here. Not sure why really, but we had to add another printer to keep up with it. Normally January and February are pretty slow in our neck of the woods, this year it's not so. I'm happy about it for sure, usually this is the month we're watching our cash flow...
Nice Mini Fieldcenter! I had an '02 Dark Silver until a couple months ago, it was heavily modified so it got driven so so rarely it wasn't worth having, traded it in for a new SUV for my wife, but I dearly miss it, it was a blast to drive...
When the lease is up on my Silverado in August I'll...
FYI it doesn't really solve banding. We're running a JV33 and a GS6000 side by side. You will get chromatic (lawnmower) banding with both machines. If your media compensation is off, you'll get either the white gap or dark stripe between each pass on both machines, only it's a straight line on...
Are there different versions of Production House? My understanding was Production House is Production House, which is what we have (X10). If I look at the key viewer it has a green checkmark next to "export ICC profiles", which I assume means that feature is enabled. Or have I been led astray?
We just upgraded to X10 Production House and when we go through the steps of building a profile in there, when it gets to the step to actually build the ICC profile, that "page" is grayed out and it skips it altogether, so no profile is generated. I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Drop...
If it's walking like that throughout the length of the print it's most definitely the encoder strip, unless of course the machine is just not feeding the material straight anymore. I assume with your setup and what you're feeding that you have some sort of square straight-edge guide to ensure...
Artbot, there's a member here, Chris Wallace (I think he posts as RippinPC) that's a Mimaki technician, he's really good and has always serviced our printers. You may send him a message to see if he knows if cleaning fluid will damage the encoder strip, if anybody would know I'd think he would.
