I don't see how this is an "advantage". Just a different accounting procedure is all that is necessary. Depreciating by transferring a set monthly amount from a Prepaid Assets-type account into a monthly expenses account can't be any harder for your accounting software or the person running it...

I've used it before -- I think the assumption is that one prints on it and it is applied as a sticker. Never even occurred to us to try and cut letters out of it.

Adobe's stuff also has to be validated after its installed before it will work -- this requires a working internet connection. And it must be un-validated before you can uninstall it if you want to move it to a newer computer.

I would classify effects as something that adds elements to an image and filters as something that alters existing images or parts of an image. In going through the list of things the AutoFX collection does, I'd say its a good mixture of both, in varying degrees.

These are probably not what I would call filters -- more like effects. AutoFX <-- there are demos available. I have Dream Suite Series 1, AutoEye, Photographic Edges, and Dream Suite Gel Series. I don't use them often, but they do work very well. What I use most often is the Liquid metal...

Here's a shot at it using Curves to remove light coverages of yellow while not affecting the more intense yellow levels. It was trickier than I thought as the image seems to have quite an orange colour cast. I have no idea if this is what you're looking for... <edit> Whoa!!! that looks...

Hmmmm... what version were you doing that with? I've done this occasionally from time to time just to make sure I had a usable EPS file and never had that problem.
