    If you only do a lot of sheeting to sublstrates and not a lot of laminating prints only. Try a desert laminator. This is the best thing besides a rolls roller for making sheeted flat panel signs.

    mil doesn't stand for anything. It is own measurement which is equal to 1/1000th of an inch.

    1 mil is equal to .001 inch or .0254 mm 3 mil is equal to .003 inch or .0762 mm 18 mil is equal to .018 inch or .452 mm

    In my opinion without a metallic set of inks gold, silver, and polished aluminum are colors your not going to get, no matter what you do. What about printing the graphics and layering the gold overtop?

    There is another method. Just can't think of what it's called. You use foil and laminate the toner print to the foil and then the foil peals from the areas where there is no toner. You just have to make layers for each color.

    If you get a 60 degree blade you shouldn't have to do multiple cuts. We use a 60 and cut 18 mil reflective materials with it no problem.

    There is more then one way to skin a deer. Multiple lines in the same spot will give you multiple cuts in the same spot even if your plotter doesn't support it automatically.
