  1. Yet another hack....

after some research, I have determined that it is indeed Old Paint on the side of that van.
  2. Yet another hack....

Is that OP on the side of that van?
  3. Can someone confirm that their JV33 Heaters are turning off

I have no idea, but I think there's a setting in the printer to control it somewhere, I think I remember seeing it once. I'll have to dig through my manual and try to decipher the broken english to figure it out.
  4. Can someone confirm that their JV33 Heaters are turning off

Ours eventually turn off, I've never timed how long it takes and it's set to whatever the default time is, we never changed it. Thanks for reminding me, I need to change it to shut them off immediately after printing. We're using Onyx BTW.
  5. HHR Wrap Difficulty

What they said, if it's full coverage bumpers and fenders, it's pushing a 9 or 10, they are not easy. Price it with plenty of buffer to cover ruined panels.
  6. Help spec'ing a new system...

    Ahh, good work!
  7. Help spec'ing a new system...

Not too bad, should be a good computer, especially for the price. My only comment is to add more RAM soon, with 64 bit windows, you can take advantage of so much more than just 4gb, and RAM's cheap.
  8. Computer upgrade ideas

Ignore OP, he's being, ahem, himself again. If you want a scratch disk, do not use a USB connection, if you think Photoshop is slow now you won't be able to stand it with a USB scratch disk. If you have to go external, eSATA is the way to go, and if you can install RAM in your computer you can...
  9. My spontaneous Christmas gift to myself...

I can't believe gabagoo hasn't posted in a fit of jealous rage yet...
  10. Windows Vista to 7 upgrade

Not sure about everything in your list but I will say for sure CS4 loves Win7 64 bit. THat's the only program on your list that we have, but every other program we've installed on 7 has run flawlessly, significantly better than in any other OS.
  11. Browser

I just started using Google Chrome and I'm really diggin it, pages load noticable faster than Firefox or IE, and it's got some pretty neat features to make browsing easier. It took me some getting used to because it's laid out differently than the other browsers I'm used to, but once I did I...
  12. Fellers "Gamut" and "Solvex" wrap vinyls

Yup, we experienced that too. It's just not good vinyl (the Gamut).
  13. Game over. I win. You're all losers.

All hail Pat Whatley king of boring magnetic signs! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
  14. "Eddie....

hahahahahaha good stuff. Best Xmas movie ever!
  15. slow ps

Just backing what everyone else said, only external drive that's any good for a Scratch Disk is an eSATA drive, even Firewire will be a bottleneck. If you have the C drive set as the primary scratch disk you might also want to change that, assuming Photoshop is installed on the C drive. How much...
  16. Hubble Deep Space

That's just downright amazing. not to sound al sci-fi conspiracy theorist mega geek but when you see something like that and try to wrap your head around just how enormous the infinite bounds of space are, it's pretty naive at best to assume there is not other life out there somewhere...
  17. Ticket / Badge Layout

Really awesome, but there's one thing that bugs me. The drop shadow on the "Brewer" doesn't look right because it's multidirectional. The "W" has significantly less black shadow behind it than the other letters and it ends up looking lighter than the other, or unbalanced or something. Just...
  18. Crop Mark problem (Last crop mark)

I don't have a Roland so I may be way off base, but we went through a couple Graphtec plotters that wouldn't read a registration mark for anything unless the room was as dark as possible. Did you try turning the lights off to see if that works? I guess this is assuming the Roland mark sensor is...
  19. Sergio no longer with AZ Color?

hehe, good one, that's funny on a couple levels... JasonX, If I were to hire Sergio I'd have a bulletproof non-compete agreement for him to sign, given his reputation. I'm quite surprised one wasn't put in place in this situation. I'd never hire someone without a non-compete, especially at the...
  20. I need your HElp

charge your houry rate from the time you leave the shop to the time you return. If a customer hires you o a job a rediculous distance away, that's their choice and they should compensate you your normal hourly rate as if it were any other job. Whether you're driving to the job site or actually...
