Its so sad that happened. The worst is your tech guy is clueless. That seems to be a industry standard. I never saw a solent printer and ripped it all apart and works good.............................. learn to only rely on yourself or people you can trust.
I would say................ On mine.........take paper out put lever down and
It should promt you to next menu. Shut off machine with out paper start it up and let it tell you what to do. Thats all I can tell you.
I have diecut film and paper at 500 ft per minute on a web press. But that is on bigger runs than I beleive you are looking for or? Heat can assist in die cutting but shouldn't be required. Really depends on materials speced. If your runs are big enough you could flatbed die cut with a eyemark...

Ok, here goes, I just bought a big squeggee and the first print I have to laminate is 38" by 11 ft. What kind of table do I need to build or what kind of surface will be required to get r dun.
Do I want to create template backrounds in real size or create them smaller, say 10 times smaller and let it be resized at RIP ? what DPI should they be saved at ? Your help would be appreciated.
I had the same thing happen , your plotter is cutting before the full file is loaded to your plotter. Set you plotter to current then send your file and when it is 100% transfered then you push enter again and bam, plot it.
