I do this and it doesn't always work. I have to use a transfer tape and then draw in the reg marks. Lighting definetly makes a big difference though.

For longer runs I always use the segmented type 2 reg marks on cutting master for the graphtec. This gives you some extra reg marks and helps with the length of the run.
