I predicted this issue earlier in this thread:

Shops considering the GS6000 should budget for head replacement or purchase the extended warranty.
I would recommend dis-assembly of the carriage and checking the carriage track for buildup which causes vibrations in a specific print area...like speed-bumps which can create pattens in the print. It can also be the bearing wheels on the carriage.
I like it a lot so far. I really like no maintenance, replaceable printheads and no wait to laminate. My ink costs have gone way down. I am averaging closer to 22 cents per square foot. 25 cents if I average in printheads and maintenance cartridge.
I am up in the 30- 40 cents per square with...
After reading the FLARR report I am disappointing to see very little mention of replaceable print heads in the HP L25500 and the low cost of the latex ink. These two factors alone make the latex ink worth my while. I really despise replacing solvent printheads, performing alignments and...

Rushworks, hello fellow North Carolinian! Which side of the state are you on?
BTW I like the 3M perf products, but I have been having trouble with them buckling while printing.
This HP will only use water based inks. I don't think it runs the UV pigment HP inks, but I may be wrong. Regardless this machine will not produce prints that hold up outdoors.
I find that I spend about 30% less to produce on this machine compared to the Seiko and Hp 9000 I have. (I went through a lot of ink keeping those machines clean and operational)
Its close the same cost compared to the 3rd part ecosol I was running.
I dont use the recyclable HP banner or...
