    I'd like to help, but i'm outta my depth here. I have wrapped some stuff in different types of carbon fiber vinyls, but never a metallic. Very interesting though. I will do some investigating myself on this...out of curiosity.

    Just don't get the solvent on anything but the nozzle plate and it can soak indefinitely.

    What you need is a translator, but just because you have a DIC color in one does not mean those values translate directly to pantone XX. I believe there are a few x-rite programs that come with the i1 that will translate that color to the closest approximate pantone, but I don't think...

    Is there something on the print path "platen" in that location? Tape, media? Run your hand along there to see if you can feel anything, then move the carriage by hand (machine is off and UNcapped) back and forth over that area. Get down and examine this from eye level front.

    That is caused by the media rippling or drawing up from the pre and print heaters. Banner material is not dimensionally stable under heat and cheap banner is the worst. Reduce your heat till no wrinkles are visible and you may have to slow your printer down as well because the ink needs enough...
