  1. Fading Ink (VJ 1204)

Do you see any drips on the nozzle plate of the printhead? Seems to me like there is some kind of leak affecting the siphon of the meniscus. When you put your finger on the end of a straw in a can of coke then pull it out you have a meniscus. If you have a leak the ink will follow the path of...
  2. Cleaning out pump lines on the MS

sounds weird I know, but acetone works perfectly and does not harm solvent printer tubing.

  4. Seiko Colorpainter 64s

I have worked with Seiko's for a long time. Has the machine been powered off for a long time? A possible way to clear the error is to hold the cancel and shift while powering up, then enter the maintenance mode by using shift, up, down, right then restart. Regardless it might be a good idea...
  5. Fading Ink (VJ 1204)

Check to see if the ink lines have air in them. If it is depriming from the damper backward check the dampers.

  10. Roland SP-540v changing form Eco-solvent to regular solvent?

There is a BIG difference between "mild" or medium solvent and full on cyclo based "heavy" solvent used in the grand format banner printers. The stuff Triangle uses for Mimaki should be just fine, but your better off getting a used Seiko or Hp9000 for that purpose ($5000+) They use a medium...
  11. Roland SP-540v changing form Eco-solvent to regular solvent?

The pump tubing will be the first thing to go. If you don't mind repairing your own machine it can be done.

  14. Do you leave your computer on 24/7?

From a technical standpoint I agree. The biggest impact is on your electrical bill. The second biggest is the life of the power supply, hard drives and monitors. I have my systems set to shut down at a particular time and start up at a particular time so its ready to go when I walk in the door.
  15. Adobe Illustrator vs. Corel Draw

From a design and prepress standpoint Illustrator is the more accepted design tool. I understand how my color management will work going from Illustrator to Photoshop to Acrobat to Dreamweaver(web). Corel draw may have a better learning curve, but IMHO you will be better served in the long run...

  19. HELP....Flexisign Pro 7.6v2 & Valuejet 1204

This version of flexi and your printer will never work quite right. I don't believe SAi supports that version of Flexi anymore, in any case your printer is newer than that program (current version is 8.6). Download a color test print to use as abenchmark for comparing different profiles then...
