I actually just bought a Wacom Bamboo... I didn't think about scanning it in and locking it so I can draw over it. I will give that a shot and see what I can come up with! Thanks for the help!
I am working on a new logo for my business, but I am drawing it by hand. The last time I scanned hand drawn artwork into the computer it was a major pain. I drew it with a pencil first, then went over the final product with sharpies to darken the lines, scanned it in and went through and cleaned...
I print a lot of reflective on my Edge. The regular process black or standard black foils will not work for this, it will make it completely non-reflective. I have been wanting to order the shadow cast foil to experiment with it on reflective, that may be your best bet. I would run black...
I have noticed that certain brands of wheels do it worse than others. Oddly enough the more expensive wheels that have a vanilla scent seem to do the best for me.
I have had a lot of questions about my fire helmet shields, so I figured I would post up some pictures and info. I started making these for myself and people I work with more or less just as a fun side project. Little did I know the shields would turn out to be a major part of my business. At...
I completed this job last night. RealGold brand 22kt. vinyl over black Oracal 971 with Oracal laminate on top to seal the edges. The shadows and outlines on the RealGold were printed on the Gerber Edge. The guys on this engine paid for the job out of pocket.
First of all, I would like to thank thewvsignguy for taking time out of his day to talk with me over the phone about my problem, and I would also like to thank those who have replied here trying to help. I solved the problem, somehow the only thing causing the issue in Flexi is the margins when...
I know Eye Candy isn't supported for Corel Draw, but I have seen where others are using it and say it works great. I am running a trial version of the new X7 and downloaded a trial version of Eye Candy. It all works like it should... except the effects are applied to the whole box and not just...
Great advice as always! No I will not be painting these, at least not right now. I have been so busy in the shop I haven't had enough spare time to practice my brush skills. Maybe one day I will be able to actually pick up a brush and make something that doesn't look like a 3 year old finger...
Maybe someone will chime in with a proper definition. I don't really know how to define it, the best way I can describe it is to tell you to look at some of the websites mentioned above!
That looks great! Just a couple of questions... I downloaded the trial version of the Alien Skin Eye Candy a few months ago and it seemed to work great with Adobe, but I could never get it to work in Flexi. How are you making that happen? Is the engine turned gold you used also from Alien Skin?
Maybe mastered wasn't quite the right word for it... I spent the whole day messing with it and haven't put together anything that I would consider good enough to send to the printer!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, those sites are full of great examples. Now the tough part for me is trying to absorb the style and make the computer do what I'm looking for. I have spent most of the day today trying to learn how corel works. I haven't quite mastered it but I...
I'm going to take the plunge and get it. I do most of my work in flexi, but I have been trying to force myself to learn Illustrator, and it seems like every time I end up frustrated. But for those that may stumble across this thread and want to know how to do this in Illustrator... after some...
Sounds like another reason for me to buy Corel... haha. I have been playing with it in Illustrator. Using 3D Extrude I can extrude it and then get the shading pretty much like what is in the picture. It is a little rough, but I'm no Illustrator expert. I haven't found any way to make it happen...
